I've been advised to get rid of WMP and use VLC player, but I find the quality is worse with VLC.
What does everyone else use?

Winamp on my PC, or WMP should the internet radio station launch that. On my Mac I use iTunes mainly.
I tend to use mplayer for movies on both as it plays just about anything. Crap interface though.

Doesnt play SVCD out of the box though, thats the beauty of VLC and Media Player Classic(not the one in windows). You dont have the **** about with codecs.
Personally I use Itunes or winamp depending on my mood and if im ripping music to the ipod. I also use Media Player Classic for viewing all my vids.

Don't you think vlc reduces the quality of the videos?
I've never noticed anything.
I use Winamp for music, Win Media Player for most video files and VLC for watching Movies that are in Bin or Cue form. Saves converting them to vid files.

I don't have a media player, I only have an intravenous aqueous interface between my sub-consious and reality IT sub-systems. Everything else is irrelevant.
