I've just looked at my PayPal account and now, we have -£20.07 in it after a reverse payment.
Can someone please dumb down what has happened and what I can do to get my money back. I am shitting bricks here.

Thanks

From teh looks of it someone was either using a dodgy account or someone was using someone elses account. Ebay has therefore reversed the payment so the person whose account it is didnt lose their money.

Apparently if you had their protection policy you would have been covered.

as to why you have -20.50 ( meaning you owe money?). I dont know, unless this was the balance you had before this debacle. If not i would contact them and ask why they have taken out the £20 as well as reversing the £40.50.

Bottom line - you been had

We had about £25 in beforehand so the minus shet is just what we owe now.
I don't understand it though to be honest, we sent the parcel to the confirmed address and did everything correctly, so they've basically screwed us out of £40 AND our phone?
Emailed the bitch but yet to receive a reply, mums said if she doesn't get a valid explanation, then she'll get our solicitor onto them

Solicitor may be the best bet at this stage, as you seem to have been well done on this one.
The buyer when traced will more than likely also say they didn't recieve the goods.

£40 that's nowt...Kells at some stage if using Ebay alot you were gonna get stung....live with it!!!. Getting a solictor onto it will cost a hellava lot more than 40 notes I would guess....... :)

Looking at the mail it is blatently evident the user used a fraudulent account by either using a stolen card or hacking a password etc etc.....

Just out of pure interest what the feck is a bloody Karma phone?

*Edit - Just done a quick google......Kells may I ask why the hell was one of those things bought in the first place????......That's the ultimate in tacky crap......

How do you put money into your paypall account? Most banks and credit card companies give internet fraud protection so you can get the cash back anyway. Sounds like paypall are being pricks though.

Baz,

I think it's because it appeared in a BT ad or something a few years back and developed some mild form of cult status and were, for a time at least, seen as a 'must-have' for some deluded Sheffield people ;)

I have a feeling that Chameleons tend to lose their ability to change colour once one has fashioned them into footwear? :hmm:
