God forbid, conversing with the other half is the last resort . . . I'd rather go out and wash the car . . . :slap:

Has England ever been hit by a blizzard?

Has England ever been hit by a blizzard?
Yes, but they don't tend to last as long and the snow rarely settles.
Up north they are not uncommon :).

Has England ever been hit by a blizzard? On a couple of occasions in my lifetime there has been important snowfalls.....Thing is these days even a ½ inch is capable of paralyzing the nation.....Eastern and Southern France recently suffered some of the heaviest snowfalls in the last 30 years and suffered black outs and certain disruption.....was expected in the Eastern zones but in the south, places like Marseille, Nice and even Corsica were taken a tad by surprise.....

I was at Heathrow a couple of years ago when four flakes brought the whole airport to a standstill. A Norwegian bloke called Jurgen (or something along those lines) spent the whole two hours we were sat on the grounded plane laughing at me and my country.

So I punched him.

He had a point, though.

Got a mate in Winnipeg who's in for a chilly one... when the highest point it's expected to reach is -21 you'll need more than an extra jumper. He assures me that this is about usual for this time of year.

I really miss snow. I haven't been sledging for years. Maybe it's time to move house... Norway or Sweden look good to me. :)
