What condition are yours in? So far I haven't even had a filling, yet I was talking to a guy in the surgery waiting room and he told me he was waitng to have £800 worth of dental work done:eek

That can't be right can it?

No fillings at all. Will keep it that way!

My brother has dodgy teeth, not rotten or yellow or owt, just some are a bit weird. He had 8 taken out when he was 9 I think it was.

Mine are in fairly good condition.
I've had one root filling that hurt like a bitch you can't see it though, aside from that i've got a little chip on one of my bottom teeth caused by my brother smacking me in the mouth when I was 11. :angryfire

I clean my teeth obsessively and always have, don't eat sweets etc etc, yet I have two fillings. My ex-boyfriend was a complete toothpaste-dodger who lived off sugary squash and fizzy drinks too, and he's never had any problems at all.

Where's the fairness in that?

Since when did dentists attach televisions to the ceiling?

They don't do that shit on the NHS!

Well I don't use the NHS, I go private, and they have screens on the ceiling :D.

You haven't lived if you haven't had a filling. Injections in the mouth - something I bloody love :eek

No fillings. But they are far too narrow.

Had 1 filling , but it came out I went back to dentist and got freaked out by the dentists who were there. Really scared me. So I never went back to get the filling again. But the tooth nerve is dead and it needed taking out , And its practically all fallen out now. Its one of the back ones. I hate the dentist.

Not been to a dentist in about 15 years or so....the fillings I had have fallen out and my back teeth are all broken on the lower jaw but they don't hurt so I can't see the point in getting them fixed as nobody can see them anyway...I can't stand normal toothpaste it makes me puke so I have to use a childrens bubble gum flavoured one.....Me teeth are stained through tobacco abuse but I don't really give a toss as I don't have a teeth showing smile anyway......

I use a Braun electric brush....

Got several fillings, purely because of getting conned when I was younger (dentist has been struck off since).

As for injections, if its for a standard filling, I don't bother with them, I hate the numb lip feeling. The pain really isn't that bad when the drill hits your gums! Only have an injection on root canal.

Couple of fillings, waiting on my friend to do a little bit of work on 'em in a few weeks though they never hurt. She gave me a full extra-oral examination (no jokes init) and full check up taking over an hour as she's at dental school. Apparantly found a couple of minor shadows on the X-rays and that I've got a tiny click in my left jaw which I never knew about. All for free anyway.

Oh and I'm voluntarily having one wisdom tooth out in April, which will be pleasant.

 I have good teeth, only thing I ever had was one filling but that was because I had a tooth that used to just break... if I touched it with my tounge some would chip off, very weird...

had a filling last year, and my teeth are very sensitive to sugar, so I can't have too much sugar

I’ve just been to the dentists and he’s quoted me £120 for two fillings, but he has also said my teeth are fine other than the two that need the fillings.
So he wants this £120 now and he said I should put £10 a month towards a dental plan which will mean after visiting him once every six months he’ll be taking £60 a visit!

But I suppose I’m stuck paying it because they are my teeth

I’ve also got a cap on my front tooth. And it stains but it’s hard to get rid of the stains with brushing so I scrape into it with a needle! Ha ha .

The enamel on my teeth never formed properly (possibly due to mother having anti-biotics when she was pregnant with me) so they look a bit discoloured. I have them bleached evey few years when I can afford it.
Got loads of fillings in my back teeth due to the same, and I've had all my wisdom teeth out (can you tell?) and two molars removed.
Had eight teeth removed when I was 11 (4 baby teeth and 4 adult), had a brace for 2 years, but they've moved forward again since then, although not as bad as they were.
Apart from that they're all fine! Plus I get free dentistry on the NHS.
I hate mint flavoured toothpaste (well anything really) but manage to bear it twice a day to brush my teeth.
