I heard this on the radio this morning! Apparently all the toxins that are in the components of a new car go to make the smell of a new car.
But its seriously bad for you, according to some Aussie scientist.
At least I won't need to worry about it too often, but its supposed to be not as much of a risk if you drive with your windows down.
So for anyone buying a new car this winter, never mind about the rain, snow and whatever, get yer windows down to get fresh air in.

That's very interesting to read - I picked up my new car on Monday morning - a lovely Peugeot 206 LX - and yesterday evening I started feeling really ill. I even had to take today off work, and I'm still feeling grotty...

Tell ya what m8 - to do you a real favour I'll buy it off ya for say 3 grand.
It won't be a new car when I get it and you will no longer have the risk of new car disease hanging over you. :)
Can you leave the fluffy dice attached to the drivers mirror please? :biggrin2:
