This year is always going to be remembered for the events of September 1th at the World Trade Centre, the Pentagon and on the aircraft that were highjacked.

How could anyone forget that day? So many people lost in the buildings and 3 months later the Taliban have been deposed in Afghanistan. Who would ever have thought this would happen?

But is there anything else that you would remeber from 2001?

Labour winning the election - sigh :(

Sarah Payne's Case.

Sein Fein granted tax payers money, office support and still they neither have to swear an oath, and more importantly still don't have to declare interests like every other MP.

September 11th without a doubt.

How about also remembering the slaughter of innocent afghans in Bush's war for US power. More people have died in the poorest country in the world from Bush and Blair's bombs than the number who died in the tragic events on Sep 11.

Iraq and Somalia, are just two of those countries next on Bush's list of 'rogue states' who he wants to 'bring into line'.

This isnt a war against terrorism

I don,t think anybody will ever forget the date September 11th. I watched the second plane crash live on sky tv I never thought I would see anything quite so horrific as that. It was my Birthday as well that day so every year now on my Birthday I'm going to have to watch the tv replays of it over and over.
Anyway on a lighter note winning promotion and winning at Old Trafford will be my highlights. Also I won't ever forget that last minute goal against Greece

Ok then so what do you think should have been done to stop the terrorists??? maybe Bush should have just asked them politely to stop harbouring the terrorists and all would have turned out well.

Most Afgan people are glad of the bombings. They now have the chance to live in a country where they can do every day things such as listen to music and watch TV. You also should remember all the people the Taliban have slaughtered over the years they were in power.

So they enjoy seeing their family get blown to bits and their country destroyed yet further?

The Northen Alliance are just as bloody and murderous as the Taliban, yet the difference is that they are pro west so therefore the US are happy as they can get hold of that oil reserve.

There will always be innocent victims in a war thats just a sad but unavoidable fact. When something like September 11th happens what do you think should have been the appropriate action taken by the Americans?????

Your obsessed aren't you! You must be the only person that I know that is against the war on terrorism. If it was the UK that was attacked would you still think the same? What if some of your family had died? All this could have been avoided if The Taliban had handed over Osama Bin Laden.

Theres two things, one is being woken up by my dad asking me if i had heard about the terrorist attacks on the us, i said yeah right and turned on the tv to see the second plane crashing into the WTC.

Also, the thing that will live with me most has got to be the final whistle of Australia vs. Uruguay, i just sat there stunned then started crying into the flag i had sitting on my lap. I just couldnt believe it would happen again.

If this is a war against terrorism, then why hasnt Ariel Sharon been put on trial? The US supports terrorists when it suits them.
