Do you have temp gauges in your Vauxhalls and Skodas?

Canada is metric. I wish I had miles. 81000 mileage for me...mine is a 2000 (don't know what 'reg' that would be in in Blighty)
Guage rings are a simple install...
Nice English BMW site is http://forum.evotechnik.net/index.php
Great guys.
Pach
2nd August 2006, 16:13
That'd be an X-Reg. So you guys are metric but use Fahrenheit? Strange...
When you say "simple to install" my question is "How much will the man charge me to do it"? Further to that, I think they may be a bit unsightly on an E39... ;)

Clarkson's a total twat, but an entertaining twat ('BMW. Designed by Germans, driven by tossers') :-). However, he's bang on about the Prius. The car is a swiz, totally sucking in all the treehugger/PETA types...
In any case, the Lexus is getting great reviews over here. A techno car that works, which means it drives, sounds and behaves like a petrol engine.
OT, but is the Blackberry used much in Europe. It was invented down the road from here and is used a lot. In the US, it's like titties to guys...they fondle the things all day long. Has a pseudonym, the 'Crackberry', it is so addictive.

It's my work chariot. Vans are better because you don't have to pay any tax on them . . . ;)

No, it means the radio is on MW preset 3 . . .

It does have a "Tiptronic" gearbox... :)
Tiptronic is a type of discrete automatic transmission developed by Porsche and used in its vehicles and those of its licensees. A Tiptronic transmission can operate just as the common type of automatic transmission, but it also allows the driver to override the automatic mode by moving the shift lever into a second (Tiptronic) shift gate equipped with two spring-loaded positions: "upshift" and "downshift". Once in this gate, the driver takes over most of the shifting decisions ordinarily performed by the transmissions computer, permiting, for example, the delaying of an upshift for increased acceleration or explicitly commanding a downshift to increase the braking effect of the engine
