Anyhow if your broke when you die the government pays for the funeral so why bother?

Because I would feeling guilty at my funeral if I knew the goverment was paying for it. :smokin:

Not true actually they helped me with my mothers funeral a few years ago - I only had to paid about two hundred pounds towards it.

The body would still have to be disposed of in line with health and safety legislation, so it would have to interred in an appropriate place or cremated I imagine?

I dread to think what a funeral costs tbh. Probably well over a grand.
I don't want what money I leave behind to be used up on this. I'll just give my body to medical science then I won't have to have a funeral at all.

My Dad's funeral cost about £2,000.... Expensive things, and it was only a cremation.
