come on we all know em,often bright colours an taste like fire or ***** but still we all drink em.

Wots ur fav shot? For me its gotta be red aftershock,its got taste aint so strong that its knocked ya off ya feet an dont ave u runin for the nog to be sick.

I used to drink red aftershock but then I just went TOTALLY off the taste of it... plus I'm not really into shots so much these days but normally when I do take em its sambuca or ChocPop (baileys/creme de menthe mix!) (NB if bar has run out of creme de menthe, opt for another shot, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES SUBSTITUTE THE CREME DE MENTHE WITH RUMPLEMINZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Another good one, but not for the weak of stomach, is Goldschlager!!!! Tis yummy!

Has ne1 ever had Absyinth? (sp?) Coz aparently it's really dangerous, like when u buy it abroad they only let u have 2 shots of it in a nite coz it's more than 50% proof, but they're currently selling it in my local Tesco :confused:

Anyway, my shot is tequila slammers, but not just tequila on its own coz that mings. I like the normal version of tequlia slammers, salt shot lemon. and the actual proper slammers, where lemomndae is put in, swilled round and slammed! Never seen that done in England tho, only in bars abroad!

Aftershock mings. Seriously. I was drinking it last nite coz it was buy Smirnoff Ice for £2, get an Aftershock or shot of Smirnoff for £1. And I can't really drink neat vodka since it put me in hospital - i find it quite dangerous, specially when I'm already drunk, so I opted for aftershock. Bleurgh :sick:

1 shot of baileys, knock it back, then knock back VERY QUICKLY a shot of fizzy lime!

We are the only european country where it isnt banned from retal sale. Its confined to bars only over there.

Yep tesco sells it - at £27.99 a bottle. I think its about 500ml. Powerful stuff

I only like red aftershock personally - but i'm a wimp when it comes round to how long you can hold it in your mouth.

I had 3 in a bar that sells it near me and after what I'd already drunk during the day I was a mess after that. Its 70% (which can be increased by burning sugar into it) and costs a fiver a shot.

bleurgh. I hate the stuff but thats how we drink it. Only manage bout 2 of those tho b4 we just shot it. And I cheat too coz I really don't like the taste.

Something else I'm not keen on any more are sidekicks. Used to like 'em, apple ones are nicest and vanilla ones are worst. but once me and a mate bought a party pack between us,m after we'd bin drinking for quite a while, and just did 8 one afger hte other in bout 30 seconds. Didn't like them much after that, but still drank bout 6 on New Years Eve, and now i can't stand them. Still dirnk the apple ones tho for some reason. :confused:

The only real absinthe is Hills only available through the internet in this country at around £50 a bottle. In prague they were selling it for £10 a bottle. I brought one bottle back but if id known the price of it over here id have brought loads back. The absinthe sold in this country is mainly the same fake ***** that they sell in Spain although it does get you hammered. The stuff in tesco is a bit better.

Absinthe doesnt give you hallucinations since an ingrediant Wormwood was banned from it in every country. When i was in prauge and on a tour of a beer factory though the guy there told us that it would still be found in home produced absinthe in some obscure region of france.

I once had a cocktail in a local nightclub which was:-

1 shot Red aftershock
1 shot Absinth
1 shot vodka
1/2 can of red bull.

In a bid to look cool I downed it in 1.

Didn't work after about 10 minutes of slurring my words I fell off my chair and was ejected from said nightclub for being to drunk(i had been drinking heavily before the cocktail) On impact with the cold night air I collapsed in a shop doorway where I vomited and then fell asleep. My girlfriend at the time( who already thought I drank too much) had to sit with me for several hours in the doorway before afriend of mine picked us up. Shortly after we split up!

Moral:- Absinth is f**kin' evil!

I only drink cocktails when I get a jug wiv a mate in this bar in town called REvolution, the we do a tray of 6 flavoured vodka shots (wite chocolate and toblerone currently being the favouroites) or when we go to Fraknie and Bennys when we'll get a jug each either for free, or at a discount price coz my brother the ar man. Much much bigger measures too.
