My 16 year old brother took us by suprise 3 months ago declaring his love and want of joining army. He went to Green Howards a week ago for the start of his many years possible service in the army. Me and parents suprised by all this wonder how he will cope and do, and is it worth it?
Have you ever or know family or friends been in army and know whether my brother has made a good move or not?
Also and interesting stories will be interested to hear

My dad was SAS, he was a Warrant Officer First Class, served in Vietnam and Korea as well as a few other places, his main job was instructing in counter-terrorist action.

Hes got buttloads of stories.

I know a guy who was a G.I. in the army with Elvis!

He has some cool stories too!

Apart from that, my cousin is currently in the Navy - she got shipped out to Oman to do all that training **** for Afghanistan, then managed to get to spend bloody Christmas in the Seychelles and is coming home soon for a visit! And one of my best mates is about to join the army herself so mereckons that you'll get some decent stories outa her after March.

Doesn't really help u much in the immediate but well... thats all I have to say about that!

NOT REALLY. YOU COULD GET KILLED, AND WE DON'T WANT THAT DO WE. THERE'S ENOUGH DEATH IN THE WORLD AS IT IS. I'D ADVISE HIM TO NOT JOIN THE ARMY, AND THAT'S MY FINAL ANSWER. THANKYOU.

I'm a tit.
