Yes I stayed outhere for a year in 1997.....great beaches, you get a lot like hawkers trying to sell you stuff, lots of hippies.....but it's very nice.
Go to Old Goa for some really nice churches e.t.c...(Goa used to be a Portuguese colony) hire a moped too, and watch the mozzies.
