I can't believe it, it's just like Christmas- it gets earlier and earlier every year, and it lasts till about January:no:. Don't get me wrong, fireworks are fine, on Nov 5th (maybe New Years Eve:hmmm), but every night in September, October and November, it shouldn't f**king happen, especially when i get up at 5am and i can hear the tw@ts setting their firecrackers off till the early hours:angryfire(probably using them to injure animals, knowing the scrotes round here).
Rant over:coat, but what does everybody else think?

People should only be allowed to use fireworks between the 1st and 10th of November. It's the right time of year, and allows time either way for people who can't celebrate it on the 5th. ;)

I'm sure there's an old law that states that fireworks are illegal except on the 5th of November.

Anyway my local Sainsbury's is selling Christmas shite already, mugs.

Thats a big problem, everything has so much advertising and build up and because of this products start to appear on the shelves in shops 4 - 5 months before the event actually happens.

Christmas is September - January
Easter is January - April
Halloween - September - October
fireworks - September - December

roughly speaking of course.

For years they have been debating shall we get rid of fireworks ,,shall we not,,,shall we, shant we,shall we, shant we?

FFS how many people have to be hurt before someone makes their bluddy mind up!:angryfire

its worst here after november the 5th, when the shops are selling them off, means that people can get loads of firewoks really cheap. Last year my local park climbing frame got hit by one and burnt down lol

I don't like fireworks and my dog likes them even less. I don't mind fireworks going off JUST on 5th November as pet owners can be prepared and it should only go on for the one night. I haven't heard any yet but I guess it won't be long. 5th November is on a Monday this year so fireworks will be going off all weekend http://th176.photobucket.com/albums/w190/Foxey_2007/th_6chuhec.gif

It can get good in Bristol. I remember going to the shop around the corner at about 7 at night and neds were just standing in the middle of the road (this was in filton avenue) firing them at cars. Was pretty cool to be honest. The police got told to **** off as well, and they duly did :cool2:

The store I work at began selling stuff like that last week... I believe Sainsbury's and the other supermarkets are now doing the same thing.

When i was a kid i enjoyed them but got bored of them. My Dad brought me one back from USA which was cool.

Truth is people mis use them now as weapons, to annoy people. I do not mind them on special occaisons such as New Year, Bonfire weekend, football team celebrating victory.

The other down side of Fireworks means it almost Halloween so the B'Stards will be trick or treating.

Can't say I ever got into fireworks as a kid. ...and turning into a grumpy 30 something now.
Should ban them apart from organised events, well away from residential areas.
