Thought that we played very poorly, and overall, this was a dreadful Glentoran performance. And, yes, as both my daughter and i were both present today, we both left the Oval of the same opinion. The Glens were crap. That's the bottom line.
I thought that we struggled, from beginning to end, to create so much as a half-decent pass. Also,we did not play well as a unit, and much improvement is needed if we are to keep up, and truly challenge the rest of the opposition.
In saying all of this we did score four. Gary Hamilton's first (Who else) was a great strike, but i thought that Tim McCann's effort, from a very tight angle, was the icing in the cake. Worth the entrance fee alone. Colin Nixon's strike was a formality, after the 'stute keeper was forced ito a sensational save on the line, (I was standing behind the goal at the time, but can't remember who struck the initial shot) and Chris Morgan's was a mere tap-in after, yet, another dreadful miss from the woeful Michael Halliday.
'Stute had several shots in the first half, that's when they posed a major threat, but offered little as an attacking potent force in the second.
Ahh ballox. For all my moaning, we still remain unbeaten.
Oh, and may i add,---TOP OF THE LEAGUE....C'mon yea Glens....:bye
