...a week now. Lovely city, found a cheap pub in High Holborn of all places,£2.35 for a pint. Problem is, takes £35 to get there.:smokin:
Well, I am safe to wear my Parrotclete shirt down here:laugh: So if you see that around London it's smeeee!:thumb

I don't like London.

Being brought up in the countryside I find anything busier than Sheffield Centre, waaaaaaaay too full.

Having a good time then dude?

I don't like cities...and was in Holborn for a court case. Not mine I hasten to add.
However. I like London. It's unique.
Good time, not yet...but it's better than Burnley

Wimbledon to Holborn = £35? You're having a laugh, surely.

I've only ever been to Holborn once, and that was to the tube station.

I found that quite staggering.

Cant you get a south west train from Wimbledon to Waterloo , used to have a mate who lived in Motspur Park and I used it alot never cost me 35 quid.

Sorry, time constrictions. Had to get Taxi as kids needed to be taken to school, missus is claustrophobic, so tube is out...had to get taxi.
Came back by tube and and Oyster lasted me 4 days at £13...trust her to get freaky underground.

Surely she can get the tube, it stops at different stations ever 20 seconds or so!?

Aye but she freaks out before we get off the escalator! We have to get from Holborn to Hammersmith. Worries me.

Leave her at home, and you take the kids to school. Tube is then a (far cheaper) option.

Noooo! We had to drop kids off first at school in Wimbledon, then make way to Holborn. Hence time...kids dropped off at 8.45, hoping to make it to London central for 9.30.

I'm going up to Bradford Wednesday by train.
People always make it out to be a bad place i've never been before but i've had the chance.
I don't think it'll be all that bad. But I’m still a bit weary of what I’ll see and think about the place :hmmm

This may shock the people out there who think I am racist. Bradford is probably the most welcoming town I have ever been to...regardless of colour or creed.
Yes it has a populus of Asians, I don't have a problem with that, my problem is with those who try to enforce their views on us in our country.
Enjoy Bradford, it is a neat place.

I love Chester just before Christmas. No other city can come close to Chester when it comes to making you feel that is Christmas. I shall make my annual pilgrimage with my daughter on Sunday 16th December
