I have predominantly had Nokia. My first was as big as a brick
Then I got one in the States and had two since I got back.

Very reliable if non-descript.

Switched to an LG in 2006, flip phone. Funky little thing, everybody liked it. Problem is, I don't know if it's a flip phone problem, but they don't last long.
It died a death in September last year, screen went green.

So I purchased a Sony Erikksson Cyber Shot thingy doofer. Very pleased with it. Still think my little Nokia was the most reliable, my Dad has it now and it is still going strong. :thumb

Currently using Sony Ericsson K610 iMode used Sony's for my last 3 or phones and the joystick has never gone on mine. Altho i can tell i'm due a upgrade as this one has started turning itself off randomly!

Any ideas on new phones? Don't like Nokia's so there out the question.

Got a iphone which is quite simply the best phone I have ever used. Even my Cousin and brother who have N95's want one. All the awards it has won are rightly deserved.

Before that I used Sony Ericssons' and you can't go wrong with them as a phone. As a media player they are lacking though.

I have a Nokia N95. Love it, but the specs on paper do not match real life use. Great camera, but put on the GPS and you have 3 hours battery life. In fact, I'm gonna sell it.

Oh, I wish I had enough $$$ to buy an iPhone like Red Dev....you lucky git.

:whistle Got it for a present at christmas and by that time I had all but convinced myself that the iphone was a huge waste of money, Over-hyped rotten apple. I got it and was obviously suprised but a bit disappointed ( I would rather of had a PS3 at the time ). I set it all up etc etc and now? I wouldn't trade it for two PS3's..... It doesn't work for everybody, Some people need certain features that only a smart phone can give them but for me it's brilliant and the people who slate it generally haven't used one. It's a bit like Mac's really ;).

Still cant film videos though, which in todays market is a pretty standard feature.

You can, It's just they haven't included the feature in the software. It has been hacked to film at 30fps just like any other phone. So in Feb when the SDK kit gets released and people can create official programs for it will be no time at all before it's added. Saying that I would hardly use it anyway as all video recording on phones are awful.

If I had to keep only one thing in my cornucopia of tech kit, it'd be the iPhone. Still stunning.

The Applephoneshow podcast host, Scott Bourne, says he still gets umpteen emails a day telling him how great the N95 is compared to the iPhone. Most are people who have never done a side by side comparison. Leo Laporte, a tech guru over here loves his N95, but still prefers the Iphone for the reasons you say, Red. It'd be nice to have both, but nothing in the here and now would make me trade my iPhone. To the naysayers, use one for a week, then talk...

My brother, Who has a N95 was over at christmas playing with my iphone and he was trying for the life of him to say how certain things where the same and he could do the same on his N95. My mum told me when he went he was playing with both of them on the table and was doing the same with her and he eventually just put them both down and said.... " It's not the same though is it......."

Yeah I had that up until my upgrade 2 months back.

Excellent phone, very reliable - I needed to upgrade though to a slightly better camera as I take loads of pictures at away games, on holidays etc. So I went for the Sony Ericsson W910i which is excellent.

I have that for work. Good phone, but I just wish the speaker was better. Turn the volume up, and the distortion is terrible.
Outside work, I use a Nokia N80.
Sony Ericcson are mince. Motorola are worse. LG are waaay worse than that. Samsung make some decent phones, but keep the hell away from the touch screen ones.

Before I had one of these trusty beasts, http://www.markdroberts.com/images/cell-phone-old-big-4.jpg has been my best mate for years, but sadly I know in this day and age you've just got to keep in with the trends

By heck I may buy these space-aged things, http://farm1.static.flickr.com/85/242673796_2c165d960f.jpg Apparantly they're all the rage nowadays

RedDev

Most of the stuff on that list is a update away. If it doesn't come from apple some one can make it.

You can send email's with pictures and recieve them with pictures for free on it. You can recieve MMS messages, at the minute all it takes is going to a website to look at them. But no doubt a program will be released to fix it. But I would rather email people them for free........
