What have you stolen from work before? Anything expensive or just something random?

would nt dare.value my job too much,do nt want a criminal record and even if i was tempted there are that many cameras watching us that you would have to be really fortunate to get away with it.saying that if i find a pen in the locker i am going to use then i will pocket it.

Never stolen anything from work. I think I once accidentally went home with my eyeglass in my pocket, but I took it back the next day as I need it.

My mate was a duty manager at my work. So he was able to do refunds for people. What he did was do loads of refunds and pocket the money. Ended up taking about £6,000. He got caught in the end.

I saw a letter from him the other day with a cheque for £80 enclosed, looks like he's paying it all back step by step!

we had a security guard who over a matter of months had stolen £ 1000's of cd's,dvd players, clothing etc.as he had access to the video taping machines he was able to erase any footage that showed him on the rob.it was a stock take that brought this to light.the police raided his house and a spare room was full of nicked gear.he was then selling it on dead cheap as whatever he sold it for was a profit.ended up doing 18 months inside.

My mum ended up with a drywipe board marker but thats it

My nan went for the plastic wallets (but her boss ok'd it first)

I never have stolen anything in my life - but the old boss suggested i'd been sticking my hands in the till, which was one of the reasons I walked out mid-shift, how dare she! Then 6 weeks or so later, it came to light that SHE was the one doing it on the sly!!

Shortly after I left Sainsbury's for my current job I found out someone I worked with had been sacked. He was the nicest guy you could ever meet too and would do anything for anyone, this guy called Carlos from Angola. He used to work until 10pm at night and lock the shop up, and before he'd go home he would stash loads of booze and things in his car. As he didn't start work until 2pm in the afternoon, he always went to a market in Manchester and flogged the goods straight on.

Was strange as whenever we got a shoplifter he was the one who always grappled them to the floor!

Sounds exactly like another of my mates at work.

He's a sound bloke, but he nicks the odd few things from work. Also always the one to take down shoplifters when we have them!

Took a few blank CD's, pens, paper, folders the usual stuff. When the place I worked closed down I took my toolbox and tools home with me and I took some extra RAM I was given for my PC but didn't need.

Embarrassingly, the only job I've ever had was a paper round, (not counting my apprenticeship I'm doing ATM) and I used to deliver about five and dump the rest in the woods. I never got found out as it was the shitty free paper that no-one wanted, and still got paid, although I jacked it in after about two weeks. Does that count as stealing?

I use to steal Happy Meal toys and give them to my sisters kids, couple of prize winning straws, gave some free meals out over 8 years.

Odd set of cups for kids parties that where it.

Pens etc the usual, as for anything big nah too many cameras etc to get away with half inching an HD tele from Amazon or anything.

Although myself and another colleague have worked out a blind spot in the cameras......:whistle

I've taken a couple of pens but I only really use them for work so they don't really count.

Too many cameras, plus I need my job so it ain't worth it.

years ago we had a cashier swiping cash by putting notes in her shoes.now whenever there is a random staff search we have to take off our shoes.cant quite see me fitting a 40 inch tv in my boots.

Yes, and I paid for it... :(

What happened?

I worked at Ikea part time and used to pinch random things that people left in the carpark etc...

I stole:

dolphin postcards.
animal finger puppets.
a real cool/strong magnet.
a toy cuddley snake.

Plus a few more 'essential' items

I cant think of ANYTHING that I can even think of stealing where I work. Except a load of cash.

I work on the railway. And I think they will know when something goes missing. The news hear about it very quickly.

I can just imagine trying to hide an engine in my back garden!

At most, paper, envelopes and stamps.
I have spent most of my working life self-employed though...

When working at the Hilton in 1986 Dave Mullen and I used to regularly "borrow" bottles of house champagne to help us through the night shift.Always returned them though, well the bottles anyway. The champagne was also recycled as urine and was also not removed from the premises.

As I now work in a museum stealing from work would mean taking the exhibits which wouldn't be too clever!

When i was doing Retail Training they once allowed people to take the machines home to practice on them. one bloke took his home and started selling tickets cheap to his mates, he didn't last long :coat

i've not handed things in when i've left jobs and nobody said owt :whistle
