Although Man City look as if they are going to be a very strong position financially over the next few years and could possibly be the next Chelsea, I can't se Berba choosing them over Man Utd.

Maybe if January if United somehow don't capture him. He would certainly give the squad a massive boost.

We won't get him in Jan if we don't now surely, Fergie hates un-decisive players and doesn't chance them if there hesitant to join. Plus we'd be screwed by then without him anyway.

Theres a limit to what Ashley is prepared to spend I guess, Abramovich has spent a lot more on players because he's supposedly more than five times richer than Ashley, as for manyoo, their turnover is over three times that of Newcastle, they were a massive, rich club with a great sqaud of players before Glazer pitched up, it will be good for English football if several clubs can challenge manyoo's spending power, only a manyoo fan would disagree.

If Berbatov joins us can you imagine the fury of Sir Alex,Would love to be a fly on the wall
Ultimately, if we'd wanted him as badly as some would have you believe, we'd have signed him weeks ago, long before you were in a position to hijack the deal. The very fact that we've been playing a game of cat and mouse with Spurs, refusing to up our bid and quibbling over an extra £5m... if Ferguson was that desperate to sign him, we wouldn't have been playing these games.

That's not meant to sound bitter in an "oh well, we didn't want him anyway" kind of way, it's just my reading of what's gone on.

It's clear you're enjoying taking your ABU pot-shots.

No...You asked when Man Utd have depended on foreign billionaires to buy players, and well, there's your answer!

The Glazers, how much of their OWN money do you really think they've provided for us? You know any money that doesn't get added on top of our debt?

yes your right, they've probably stole other peoples millions and spent it on players:laugh:..

If you want to put it that way, then every single football club in the world is trying to do that.

Right, so in essence your saying that you have no problem with Chelsea or now Man City buying players? So what is your argument then?

Now as someone stated earlier, your boring, and i've grown tired of your non-sensical debate.

Berbatov agrees £150k per week deal at Man City
14:53 September, 1, 2008
Manchester City look to have agreed personal terms with Tottenham's Dimitar Berbatov.

Berbatov is set to be re-united at club level with his Bulgaria international team-mate Martin Petrov, now that wages of £150,000 per week have been agreed.

More to follow...
