does anyone here ever been to or frequent a comedy club as an alternate night out from the pub/club scene?

I'm starting to get into watching programmes like the Live Floor Show etc watching little known comedians and really want to visit the comedy store in London or similar in Milton Keynes

Used to go to the Comedy Store quite regulary. Used to be great seeing some unknowns yet them being so funny. Haven't been for a couple of years now. Might have to make a point of going again soon.

Had a bit of a phase of going to the Comedy Club at the Empire in the autumn, but then just stopped for some reason - keep meaning to go back cos its well funny (even the shit people are funny cos they just will NOT give up...), but the downside to it is that u've to be there for like 7pm on the dot for the show starting at like 9.30 to get in the QUEUE to get in - well, and to get a seat at that point, else u're standing shoulder to shoulder with people and can't see sod all and get cramps in your legs and back before its even bloody started!

Definitely a great night out for a fiver (well, to get in the door anyways)
