Just changed the car last week and for the first time I'm enjoying the benefit of Power Steering, Remote Central Locking, CD Player, Heated Windscreen etc etc.
What features could you just not do without???

I'm actually picking my new car up tonight. New one has Central locking, alloy wheels, ABS, Air Con, power steering and electric windows, all of which I have never had before. To answer your question though it has to be the stereo.

My present car is the first one I've ever had with traction control, it's very handy when driving like a fool . . .
Item I couldn't do without though is definitely the stereo . . .

ABS pairs very well with that. together they have saved my arse more than once, when as you say, I've been driving like a fool.
Feature that I WILL NOT do without ever again is AC.

The only mod cons I've ever had the pleasure of are a cigarette lighter out of a Nova and the cool breeze of a Fiesta radiator.
New motor in the summer though, so that'll all change ..
Did have a lovely big £500 ICE install though,
until it all got chored on New Years Day, theiving ****e*s.

Next up, a Clio V6. ;)

bah... loada shite... its bigger better brother the Clio 172 2003 edition wipes the floor with it for manageability (V6 is too heavy at the back, whereas the F1 designed engine in the 172 doesnt need the back seats and handles like a dream) and yeah, 60 bhp lower, but the weight reduction makes up for it

Not a massive Renault fan, so wouldn't know too much about the specs really, but for sheer power and head turning, the little Clio with a 24V 2.5 lump has gotta be admired in anyones books.
The insurance however is a different story !
I went to Southend Cruise last weekend with the bird and a few mates. Some nutter had a Clio V6, not only had he dropped it about -40mm, the nutter had nitrous injection set up in it
That would rocket ...

yeah my insurance for a 172 is £2200 (cat 15e) and for my 1.4s £1100 (cat 3e)..
All i know really is from what i read, the V6 handles very badly apparently and the 172 is apparently a dream or as Baz would say 'Like shit off a shovel'
