Take my word - you would not want to watch it!!
It's only on local TV anyways so unless you have a big aerial I doubt you'd pick up the signal!

u can watch some quality irish league football at clandeboye park, for the only team with a proper nickname (unless u count the Hatchet Men for Crusaders )

Geez! Are times that hard at Hillsborough that you need to seek solice in a Foreign League (as most of those half-hearted Irish Football Fans support Celtic/Rangers) ? Well,Well, I remember the heady day's of Rumbelows Cup Finals against Man.U and Sunday Afternoon's watching The Owls/Blades titanic clashes for Relegation survival.
Or are you the Owl's Head Scout on the prowl for the next George Best or Liam Brady ? I'm sure all my Wee Mick/Paddy friends could help you out.....Oh! And how's Owen Morrison coming along ? I believe he's saved Owl's Bacon on a few occasion's ! Where's he from ?

The only time you see bad football in the Irish league is when Crusaders and Linfield are playing!

I saw some Norn'Irish footy on BBCChoice Northern Ireland last season - it's towards the dodgy (adult channel/television x) side of the sky digital spectrum ;-)

alanglentoran, have you never been to Clandeboye Park. The football there is so bad it's brilliant, unmissable stuff. Make no mistake,a lot of the Premier, nationwide and Scottish League football is pants but it has a high profile. The skill factor and pace may not be as high in the Irish League but it is good entertainment for £4 (£5 in the Premier Division)

A Welsh League Fan handing out stick like that, Hoo,Hoo! Imagine the threat to every team North and South if Inter CableTel Cardiff, Barry Town or Aberystwth came to join our prestigous Leagues.....A Welsh Whacking ? I think not!
Barry Town, Nah!!!

Dino, it has been about 6-7 years since I was last at Clandeboye. The last time I saw Bangor was the Shield final at Castlereagh last year v the Glens. Good night, good to get away from Whinger for a final. Ards was blocked that night, we ended up basically walking through that river/storm drain and just managed to get in before ko, even though the match was delayed due to the crowd.

What sort of coverage does the Irish league get from BBC NI?
Are you happy with the amount you get?
I bet you don't have to put up with wall-to-wall rugby like we do!!

Can't remember if its BBC or UTV but one of them shows the goals after the Saturday results service. We also get Cup final highlights of which there are too many for my liking!

Well to be honest (in answer to our Welsh ally, who was'nt taking the piss.) Irish Football get's very little coverage. In the North, the Irish Leagu gets a shabby half an hour after the English League results round up. In the South the League Of Ireland gets no cover at all....I can't remember the last time I've seen a L.O.I team on telly (other than two matches in Europe a year!) it's a blooming disgrace, but at least we don't get Rugby saturation, Phew!

Cheers EireBadBoy!
We used to have a full hour long programme on Sunday Afternoons with all the goals as well as news and items from Welsh footy in general.
Unfortunately, since BBC Wales have won back the rygby contract it's been dumped ...
On Wales Today (the BBC's regional nightly news programme - we don't even get a mention of the scores - they concentrate on Cardiff, Wrexham and Swansea)
