And they wonder why there is no money in Irish football???

I watch Institute often and things are not much better - It's a miracle how these clubs survive. Something has to be done to encourage people through the turnstiles (North & South).

I've been to Distillery a few times and it's always the same. They have very poor home support and Larne are just as bad for travelling supporters.

Distillery and Larne aren't by any means the worst supported clubs in the division. Without the benefit of experiencing the expanded division before, I would imagine Ballymena and Bangor will have most fans this year. I'd say we took 300/350 (still hopeful for the new season) to Carrick on Friday night, they had very few. I'm looking forward to visiting a few grounds I've never been to though (ie. Institute, Armagh, Limavady, Dungannon) and I think very often the smaller clubs are friendlier places to go to (Carrick's social club was very hospitable and Newry was always the best pint in the Premiership). There'll be no seasonal stone throwing welcome from Ballyclare on this year's Boxing Day trip.

Larne are one of the few clubs in the first with any kind of travelling support. Mate, if you think Bangor have any kind of support these days you're wrong.
