I was sad to see there will be no charity shield this year because of a lack of sponsors.
If you can't get sponsorship for a big 2 encounter then the irish league really is in trouble.

Anyway i now have the pleasure of watching the blues take on Carrick Rangers on the day instead, a great warm up for our clash with Alaves I'm sure

Nonetheless i'm looking forward to our game with Monaghan United tommorrow

You just hit me with a smashng idea! (between slurps of Cider!) I know a lot of people are all for an integrated Irish League and a lot of people are all against it, but, how about a Charity Shield (i.e all money going to both F.A's (JOKE!)) between Northern and Southern League winner's. We could kill two bird's with the one stone there! Which League is best and reinstate a Charity Shield that Sponsor's would love to be involved in......I am the spawn of Sepp Blatter!!!!!!!
