McIlroy To Get New Contract

Sammy McIlroy is due to sign a new 2 year contract as Northern Ireland manager which will see him take charge of the Euro 2004 campaign.

He's hardly had an impressive run of results but given his resources how could anyone do a better job anyway? At least his heart is in it unlike McMenemy.

I think the whole structure of NI football needs sorted and slowly but surely we're getting their with the likes of the U-21s. It's more at grass roots level though, youth development, I don't think there's enough emphasis on it and as a result we're constantly scrapping the barrel for quality players.
