What time do you consider it appropriate to start drinking alcohol during the day?
I have often seen folk getting stuck into their beer first thing in the morning (each and every time it happens on the early morning ferry to Scotland which seems bad enough in itself).
But I'd sooner have a nice cuppa tea and a few rounds of toast thanks and wait till at least lunch time.

I don't drink, so I guess I think it's never appropriate to start drinking alcohol during the day.
That's just me, get wasted all you want.

depends on the situation. for example we usually start at midday if we are going to footie, but if i am going out i usually pop down the pub for about six to get warmed up before going into town.

If it's a Saturday and I had a early morning kick-off then I'd start between 1 or 2 in the afternoon.

When ever the mood or occasion grabs you.
With Athers last world cup beer with breakfast.
On one morning I was cooking the breakfast for my dad and brother so I finished a bottle of red wine like I was cooking an evening meal at 7 in the morning. Was F***ed by 1 in the afternoon.Brilliant.

Depends, generally on a night out, I'll usually have a few tins whilst gettin ready, before we go into the boozers and then usually a club.
Matchdays, we always get there about two and half hours from kick-off anyway - I'll leave the working out on that one to you. :D

I can (and have been known to) drink a large Bacardi and Coke at any hour of the day - most recently I consumed one in Gatwick at 05.30 before jetting off to the Med. But my other tipples - namely beer and cider - are most definitely confined to evening drinking (or late afternoon at a push.)

Ah, the world cup last year. I don't usually drink at those times... but that was different.
We got into the pub at about 6.30am, got front seats, and lined up 6 or 7 bottles.... great stuff. I wonder if this will ever be repeated... where is the next world cup after Germany?

As Mattledud said it depends on the situation. For example if your going to watch England away and your flight is at say 0530 and you arrive at Heathrow at 0400 its an approiate time. Or if your travelling from the South Coast to say someone like Newcastle (or vice versa) drinking as soon as you set off is the norm.
