There is infact a reason why it is so I read it once but I can't remember what the explanation was....I believe it has something to do with left right hand and feet co-ordination.....

lol, "knuckle dragger", are long arms genetic in the north?

Anyways, I woulda figured england and us would, at the very least, be on the same side. Back in the day with horses and carriages, would that custom have been brought over here as well? Or did the person responsible for that fall overboard on his way over?

Anyways, I think the bahamas may drive on the other side also. Or the caymen islands, maybe both. One of them at least.

Why do we have less car accidents than you?

I guess you could also ask why Germany has less car accidents despite them not having ANY speed limits.

There's a whole lot more than just us. It's mainly the Commonwealth countries, excluding Canada.

Sweden used to drive on the same side as the British 40 years ago but somehow managed to change to driving on the right instead of left overnight.

Here's a rather good explanation ( quite interesting too) of why we, and suprisingly many others, driver on the left.

THIS IS WHY (http://www.2pass.co.uk/goodluck.htm)

It's the same arguement as 'why are some countries vehicle's (and a few imported ones here) fitted with the driver side on the left ?'

Interestingly...All our cars are imported from the US, so they are left hand drive, and we drive on the left, so everyone drives in the gutter. Even the drive-throughs and car park ticket dispensers are on the left hand side.

left-hand-drive cars are made for driving on the right. It makes sense to be towards the middle of the road.

why do we have less car accidents than you?

e have less car accidnets than the yanks, cos yanks deliberately drive into one another and htne sue them for obsturcting their right to free movement.

Calm down you hyper-active c*nt, I meant to say that Germany has less car accidents due to their lack of speed limits in many areas.

As someone who's driven there for a few years, I agree with that although things are improving these days....and you can't slow down for them too much, coz you might get carjacked....as a result, I've had numerous tyre bursts after hitting potholes....but other African countries are even worse.....

Please provide statistical evidence to back up your claim of "less car accidents due to lack of speed limits" please

Thing is though if you go too fast they'll just do you for dangerous driving. I know cos a mate was doing 110mph and got pulled for it
