What is the bird turnout at your ground like and in the surroundin bars etc around the ground on matchdays ?
Last night up Watford, there was a gorgeous bird about four seats to the right, difficult to focus on the match.
And a well nice girl a few seats down as well. Seems it's generally on the up.
Hoping our seats will be surrounded by a bit of eye candy this season aswell, could live with that. :cool2:

It's a huge stadium for the amount of support they get. Last year we played the 'who can run around the ground quickest' game, I've got it on video somewhere. I came 12th

Yeh theres been about 8000 on relatively recently for the RMI-Fulham game and the Leigh-Wigan rugby games.
Leigh is a rugby town and we get around 3000 there on sundays, would increase if we got into superleague. RMI were originally Horwich RMI (near reebok) but they were being promoted up the unibond league and needed a better ground, so they moved to leigh and changed their name accordingly, since everyone in leigh supports man united they get no support, weird because as i dont know a man u season ticket holder from leigh.
Back at horwich they used to get the ppl goin down when bolton were away, but now no1 is interested so they are outnumbered by visiting fans
Oh by the way, in 2005 we're getting a 10,000 all seater for them to use

2 seasons ago my ST's were Gate 5 Row 6 Seats 125 and 126. Now I'm Gate 5 Row 11 Seats 115 and 116. Just on the halfway line and a few rows up (better view)

I know.
We're row 8. Wanted to get pretty close to the front, but not too close. If you ask nicely, they'll more than likely be able to shift you upon renewal in the new year anyway.

The only mildly attractive females at Griffin Park are jailbait. By and large anyone legal makes Gail Tilsley look an appealing prospect. I did once pull a female steward at a Chester-Bees game, not generally the sort of venue for successful wooing but oddly enough the game didn't captivate my attention.

Ah yeah, the good old Charlton roar. Many a weekend was I in the Halfords in the retail park opposite the Valley hearing all the cheering. Usually from the away fans.
:p
SE16's Millwall ain't it ? My ex lived in Greenwich, SE10 opposite the old hospital.

I'm sorry honey, did I not read the thread correctly. The question was about crumpet at football matches I thought.
If it was about the noise of our support I would never dream of answering as I would be the first to admit that the East & West sides of our ground are quieter than your local library.
And you are correct SE16 is Bermondsey, the home of the Scumwall.
I wish Duff were in my team you lucky lucky lot :(

At least you admit it though. ;)
Woolwich is usually the place to go before & after the match I think, always seemed pretty buzzin when I was down there. Didn't ever dare wear my Chelsea shirt though.
I remember coming out of that retail park car park once with about 20-30 Charlton wanderin over and there's me in SE London with me Chelsea shirt.

15th August 2003, 17:04
But my dear LF_SW6 we wouldn't do you any harm in your Chelsea shirt. We may check to see if you had flip flops on but that would be it my friend.
Tend to drink in The Royal Oak before the game as sell a lovely pint of Pride......mmmmmm and after the game, well that depends on the result!!!!!
Secret Affair eh........used to go to school with the lead singers cousin. Got all the singles free etc...gutted as when I was supposed to go and see them with her, my parents wouldn't let me go :(

Yeah, love em.
I dunno about all your boys being angles though, I've driven past plenty of heebyjeeby down that way. Nice to see none of you lot still complaining about having four goals put past you at the Blue stadium North of the river. :p
Is the Royal Oak that red & black boozer down the end of the walkway into the stadium, on the main road ?
SE7 Chick
15th August 2003, 17:18
:) Gotta laugh about it honey as was the worst excuse we've ever used for being comprehensively tonked :) :)
Not all angels I grant you but tend to take our frustrations out on others & not generally Chelsea fans.
No mate, the Royal Oak is the one just after the railway crossing on the right as you approach Harvey Gardens xxx
