Greetings ffers. YipJaap reporting courtesy of Bobs Bar in Malcesine, Lake Garda. Its bloody hot here but Bob is providing Sky Sports on Sunday so I can watch the Community Shield.
Have managed to find an Italian agent to sort out a move for Mr Veron to Chelski. I wanted more than the 15 million but managed to get rid of the bald useless get.
This place is full of bloody Germans and their women are extremely ugly.
Watched us lose on Eurosport last night but Fergie obviously couldnt care about that game. 4 out of 4 in USA though. Whoopee.
The rest of my holiday will be seaching for the apostrophe on this damned keyboard.
See ya next week, YipJaap.

I was in that very bar last year m8...Malcesine is a smashing spot (I stayed in Limone and took the ferry over a couple of times) - Lake Garda is totally chilled and I'd love to visit it agin soon (my folks are up in Riva at the moment too.) Enjoy!

My Aunt has a hotel in Riva (not too far from Malcesine), but I can't remember what its called. I will find out though... nice place, and you ain't wrong about the Germans, although there are enough Brits about.
My Aunt, uncle and cusion live in a village just a bit north of Riva actually, called Dro. Which is nice.

I stayed near Sirmione . When the weather's good what could be more relaxing than getting on and off the boat when you like and wandering around the quaint lakeside towns occasionally stopping for lunch or dinner by the quayside. Aaaaaaaaaaah..........

Both nice spots but I think Sirmione is the most beautiful part of the lake.

YipJaap's back. Bob and Jeannie are a very hospitable pair. On Sunday the bar was packed with Brits watching the Community Shield (I'm taking the credit for making sure they showed it). I even got a free game of pool on the house as I'd been such a good customer. Feckin' massive dinners made by them too that I'm proud to say I scoffed up.
Malcesine wins my vote as the best town on the lake. Also took visits to Sirmione, Riva, Garda and Limone.
Will catch up with all the FF gossip tomorrow no doubt in between sorting out my dirty underwear. Four pairs in 2 weeks must be some kind of record.

Nice to hear you enjoyed the Italian lakes YipYapStaam, pity you didn't take in the more scenic and less tourist driven Lago di Como! (also the deepest lake in mainland Europe)
Jagielka did you visit the Lido di Menaggio? (my mate owns the place)

naaah, i were only there for a few days, i didnt spend much time in menaggio i was too busy crossing the lake and seeing the sights!
it may be less tourist driven Como_Hearts but how many americans visit there! slightly more than infest chatsworth every summer! ;)
