Anyway - I didnt think the group was as good as last weeks, but the results were fairer. Last week some crappy girl got through because she was fat, when there were girls much better than her who were discriminated against because of their good looks.

The Swedish chick was pathetic and the 2 that got to the final were dead certs in last nights heat.

If the fat chick from the week before keeps making progress at the public vote it will make a mockery of the show as she is clearly not what they are hoping to unearth despite her singing talents.

No harm but thon fat chick can sing but a Pop Idol? I don't think so. Her voice is hardly earth shattering and personally I thought there was better than her in her heat. There's far better talent on Fame Academy, not one of the girls on Pop Idol would even come close to Alex or Carolynne.

She's a fox I'll give you that but I'll repeat again, none of them have the talent of the FA students. These guys write their own songs, play their own instruments and have their own identities. As much as I enjoy watching Pop Idol there's no one on it to inspire you, not one single singer I've seen that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. If you heard FA's Alex singing Coldplay's Trouble or doing a cracking version of Christina Aguilera's Beautiful you'd know what I'm talking about.

It doesn't show you the auditions, this time round they had shows were there were 6 and I think you had to pick 3 to go into the Academy. Watch it this Saturday night, you'll laugh your leg off at Peter, he's completely mad on stage. They're all useless. The ability to sing is two-a-penny nowadays and isn't a talent at all.

No-one can write decent music anymore, or sing with a bit of soul and passion. The only real way a song can be sung passionately is if its sung by the person who wrote it.

I beg to differ and if you bothered to watch Fame Academy you would see the difference. The ppl on there actually write their own original material and aren't all mainstream pop acts eg Alex who is kinda Indie and Peter who is more Punk/Rock. As I said before, they also play their own instruments so how do they differ from the talented artists that sell records these days? When I turn onto Pop Idol its more like a karaoke show only the standard is better.
