PS 2 Deals

Does anyone know any good online shops selling PS 2 packages at a decent price?

The kids are after 1 from Santa this year.

Well al mate, i was gonna sell mine, however, i wud recommend convincing them to get an xbox instead, lot more versatile only thing the ps2 has on it are the odd game that comes out on it that u cant get for the xbox.

You can have mine for a ton 20 twenty if you want mate, can't remember the last time I actually played the thing. Mainly used as a DVD player now.

So I take it the graphics etc are as good as the PS2 Mr PJ??? And there is a decent range of games too that would appeal to the young uns?

the system itself mate is around 2x as good on paper as far as its oomph ability is concerned, the games are starting to flood now for it. The only thing a PS2 has over the Xbox are some titles that are released on the ps2 that are unavailable on any other console and they are goddamn good games, like Gran Turismo 3, Final Fantasy 10 and Pro Evolution Soccer 2. On the other hand the Xbox has its gems like Project Gotham Racing, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Fifa 2004. Anyhow, i have em both and i only used the ps2 for a few games and i rarely play it now, lately i just download games for the xbox and play em!

£120 or so for the unit with 1 controller
£50 for chip & installation costs

£30 per month for broadband to download all the por.. games you require for it...


Also remember the Xbox has its own Hard Disc in it, so you dont need to have all the games on CD, you can copy em from their CD's to the Hard Disc and play them (if you have it chipped). You can also play online with some very good games with the xbox, however the ps2 duz it too, albeit ****in difficult to set up apparently!

the most important thing alan, if you have it chipped, you wont have to actually BUY the kids games!

K@mpso i would recomend you go for an x-box as i sold my PS2 for one and it is brill. Realy it makes a ps2 seem like **** all.
I at first put off getting an x-box but now i have eventuly got one it's realy good.
And the new x-box's are out now which are better and have smaller pads
