I hadn't been that fit before, but for a few months (ok, a lot) I haven't been playing football or doing anything else due to injuries.
I'm starting physiotherapy, but I'm thinking of doing some exercse like jogging (1 or 2 of my friends do it). Would it be good or bad for me, being unfit as it is? I've thought of gym but never know what to do.

I run or jog what ever it does work but then you want to do short sharp bust running an hour or so later .

If your going to think about jogging which i think is a great idea you need to do stretching
hamstring, calf muscle, groin etc so it saves you from any pains and remember to do the stretches after you do your jogging to

Exactly the fitness regime I follow Shaun.
Plus at this time of year there's all that energy spent squirting deicer on the car windows too.
Exhausting work . . .

Don't forget the twenty-odd lashings of windscreen wash for a one mile trip, due to all the salt on the roads.

I would imagine it would be best to ask your physio before starting to do any other exercise, as it could cause more harm than good.
As for me doing exercise, well I have been thinking about doing step aerobics again as I could do with a bit of a tone up, but that's as far as I got!

I go to the gym twice a week, which is good for fitness and building muscle. Three times a week is probably the optimal number of times you should be going to get results, but I never have enough time for that. I play volleyball once a week, again it is good for fitness although I do it for the love of the game. Also I try to go cycling once a week, good cardio and also to perv on all the ladies who walk by (it's summer time here in Australia and I live by the beach...yummy!).
So exercise doesn't have to be a chore, you can make it fun if you do things that you like. But my favourite exercise is working my biceps, trying to lift as many pints as possible on a Friday or Saturday night. When I'm really keen, I go for the stein glasses, now they give your arms a good workout!

Joined the gym (£55 all in) at uni at the start of the year, been twice   (and one of those was the compulsory induction session)
Play squash when I can, is good fun but you're bloody shattered afterwards. Walk a lot more than I used to 'cos I dont have my car up there and its a nice walk to everywhere.
Who cares I've lost towards 2 stone since September on my new lifestyle :)

I do weights and sit ups every night and have been doing so off and on for about two years. Recently i have begun to be more commited and my body is starting to become quite toned.:cool2:
I used to go jogging every night just for a mile or so about two years ago but i stopped when ill and never started again. I do take my dog short walks 3/5 times a week though and i walk the mile to and from school every weekday.
