How many of you still believe that the male should be the breadwinner of society? Even though we are now able to have our own careers and everything like that do we still see the male as a way to access resources?

as the girlfriend is doing the dishes i can reply to this easily.

it used to be that the man would work all day drink all night. the woman would get up, then wake the man, relieve him of unwanted liquids  feed him and send him off to work with a sandwich. then she would clean the house, walk the dog prerpare the tea stick it in the oven for the man coming in pissed at 2 am.

ahhh them were the days

now its all nackered
woman now are breadwinners

there is an argument that if woman ruled the planet it would be a nicer place, but thats debatable. countrys all over the world in a huff with each other

I pay my own way, but then that's my personal choice.
I guess it depends how much of a homebody or how mercenary the woman in question is.
There are women out there who will bleed a man dry and walk away .. Unfortunately most of them have long legs, big boobs, big hair and teeny tiny consciences...

From Only fools and horses

Raquel "My dad was an old fashioned type, he always thought there should be only one bread winner.

Del Boy "Yeah my dad was like that, he was up at 6 o'clock every morning to make sure my mum went off to work.

I've always gone out to work even when my kids were very small, (I took my maternity leave then went straight back to my job)if I hadn't we wouldn't have had much money even though my husband had a good job.
Then when we split up I had to work anyway just to make ends meet. I'd love to meet someone who earned enough so I wouldn't have to work but I spose I'd get bored of staying in the house all day and anyway there aren't many single, rich, good-looking blokes around these days.
Am I being too fussy?

I think a tough ginger northern bird will be able to out drink most people. I bet there's been times she's tucked in her beer gut, and gone round all 60 in one night.
