for a bad back and fast. I've tried hot baths to ease the pain (which normally works) tablets but they arent working either.
Any suggestions?

Im studying sports coaching so i know only how to stretch n help it.
Is it your whole back or bottom of back or top of back?
Who have you hurt your back?
swfc_babe85

Theres a stretch called the back raises.
Go on all fours and all your doing is slowly lifting you back up do that 3 times the now for 10 seconds holding it and then od it 3 times before you go to bed.
Sounds stupid but you "should" feel a difference

you need a good strong man to massage your nasty painful area.
or Deep heat rub and put a hot water where the area is painful.

Try sleeping on your side with a pillow between your knees;supposed to straighten your spine out. Works for me...
As for the 'swfc' part, I think the only cure would be to have your club bought by Ken Bates...:p

hmmm might try that
as for the SWFC bit there isnt a cure lol

Yeah, that always helps me out no end. As does a good massage, preferably a "heat massage".

Get a heat pack. A tenner from TJ Hughes down town, stick it in the microwave for 2minutes and place it on the areas affected.
When not in use can also be used for a cold compress.
Comes in an assortment of fruity flavours. (ok not flavours but smells!I have the lavender one!)
Its a treat when you've been shopping all day and have been running about playing football - a godsend.

Actually I'd heard the same somewhere. The, erm, climactic finale relieves "ladies" pains.
I think it was a pervy mate who said that though ;)

Rest is the only cure I know. Lie down and kept it flat.
Those heat pads can ease it slightly.

she could try posting naked pics of herself in the south african football section.
might not work, but it sure would be superb
What has being female got to do with having a bad back? Is this some freak ailment that's an effect of "women's troubles"? I certainly know a lot more men with bad backs, mainly due to the fact more men do manual labour.
To sort out your back problems you really have to figure out the cause of it, for mine I severely injured the ligaments in my back when I almost killed myself in a car crash. The only way it'll heal is if I exercise it regularly, by walking, swimming, cycling etc. and even then it could take up to 2 years to overcome. Obviously this isn't the solution to everyones problems, and in some cases could make it even worse. If you really want good advice there is plenty to be found on google, but a visit to your local GP is obviously the best option.

Don't take aspirin or Ibuprofen as they both contain blood thinning agents, take 2 paracetamol every 4 hours (and if you have it codeine) have a warm bath and go to bed with a hot water bottle.

Why not Ibuprofen? It's all my GP has recommended I take since I stopped the painkillers. Might contain blood thinning agents, but I find it helps more than anything else you can get over the counter.

Sorry jay jay's bitch, my older sister isn't keen on discussing such matters with a guy. Surely a f*ck muppet like you wouldn't be sick-minded enough to be interested in topics like that, right?

rest might ease the pain, but its the wrong thing to do for too long because it weakens the muscles, leading to longer-term troubles.
try to keep active as normal, take painkillers, Ibuprofen is fine (as long as you dont have heart problems or haemophilia), Co-codamol is also good, paracetamol will do, take 2 every 4 hours, it will pass.
if it doesnt, see your Doctor!

It's a strange one, but I find Jasmine tea helps ... the stuff you get in chinese restaurants, it's worth a try.
Oh ... and if you have sensative skin don't use deep heat without testing it in a small patch of skin first ... it can burn you quite badly if you are allergic !!!
