FIFA 08 is by far the most annoying, cheating, AI decides the outcome of every match, slow reactions in every player, pass doesnt go where i want it to go, button lag, game I have ever played.....yet i still continue to play it.

Ah hah hard to believe but I have a phobia of being sick, had it a couple of years and tbh I don't like going out often. I attend Chelsea games and occasionally go to Tesco once a week but besides that I literally don't go out as I used to have panic attacks. Dropped out of college cause of it etc, pain in the ass tbh.

Not many people on this forum know one another in that way but the one I used with people that had similar problems got closed down haha. Typical eh.

Either way I may now play FM or Fifa, seems to be 2 people on xbox live, both yanks, both halo fanboys. Goodie.

Cool will do. I just watched a couple of video reviews for Farcry 2 not sure what it's trying to be as a game, it looks obviously very open as you'd expect but I don't see it working as a FPS. Surely it'd be better to turn it somewhat RPG-ish because when I see hugely open areas I tend to think of them as sandbox games and they lose value IMO as I don't spend soo much time doing missions. Hopefully the map editor will live upto how good people say it is.

Can't see many people purchasing it but I can see Fable 2 dominating sales this week. :party

Now I'm waiting on CoD5, GoW2, SvR2009, Red Alert 3 and Fallout 3 then.

I want 9 yes NINE games all coming out between now and the end of November, there's no way I can afford them all, so I'm gonna have to go for the pick of the bunch between now and Xmas.

However what I'm looking at getting is:

Dead Space (On Friday)
Fallout 3
Little Big Planet
Mirror's Edge
Resistance 2

Those are the must gets. Then If/when I can afford them SvR2009, Tom Clancy's EndWar, SOCOM with the new PS3 headset, Tomb Raider Underworld and maybe FarCry2.

I'd love to get Dead Space this Friday but it's one of those games that I'll purchase, piss about on and then realise that I'm never going to play it again. Survival horrors just amaze me the first time, the graphics, atmosphere for example look great in this game but I can't see it being a huge seller even with the favourable reviews it has.

When I first read it was coming out and being made by EA I was shocked to see it being made by their studio in Redwood Shores, I think it was and they made the likes of the Godfather and a Simpsons game however if they are the bunch I'm shocked at the critics fame it's been given, hopefully that'll make people buy it.

Resistance 2 potentially could be amazing, Mirrors Edge I have read NOTHING about, which is strange and Little Big Planet looks immense it's just ashame about this little issue that has been raised over the past few days eh delaying release haha.

Woah that does like impressive, I'll have to go read up on WTF the game is like but besides that I love the look of it.

I just read a blog on Fable 2 btw and an executive said people can get through it while ignoring sub-quests in next to 8 hours :( that is highly annoying, they even insist on default difficulty you may not die at all through the game!

Haven't no, but I like the idea in principle the KotR games were 2 of the very few star wars games that were halfway decent.

Though I'm not a fan of MMO's, the pay monthly thing, just disgusts me really, when I could play the likes of COD4 for the next 10 years and not pay a damn thing.

I tried it with the Matrix Online, but they didn't get that one right, it could have been so much more (hell maybe it is now) but the first 6 months were pretty poor. I don't like WoW.

I dunno, Stargate Worlds is coming next year, and I love the stargate universe, so maybe that will entice me back in to the MMO arena.

You'll regret stepping back into that realm, I played for different reasons but still it simply is a regret of mine playing WoW. Maybe you'll be ok with a new one though being older haha I was at an age where a game such as that was destined to wreck schooling.

As for KotR they should have just kept it as an RPG as it worked amazingly well that way, another title with EA on the cover to especially an MMO just annoy me somewhat and as much as I understand online games are the place to be, financially atm they still shouldn't screw it up making this.

Maybe it's the whole EA thing though, I still havn't forgiven what they did to Westwood, I'm putting myself through a video of Red Alert 3 and it looks good but people don't buy RTS' anymore ffs. It's all MMO and FPS fans.

......and don't speak too soon mate, if you haven't looked into it, look at Tom Clancy's EndWar.

They are pioneering in game voice activation, so for the first time you can command your RTS with full voice commands, have a read, look at the trailers, it looks like the first truly immense RTS for years.

I heard that a lot though, Supreme Commander will bring back loads of RTS fans, Starcraft 2 will whine whine whine. Sooo many games in this genre boast really decent scores such as World in Conflict, Company of Heroes and C&C3 but I'd be damned if I could find anyone who plays them online. Everytime I check it's dead god-dammit. I used to adore them games.

EDIT: Hate to sound pessimistic but I can't see this Tom Clancy title getting much critical acclaim.

See I agree and dis-agree those titles you mention were fun in single player but multiplayer was same old RTS, it gets boring.

However with EndWar, it will add a new spice to be able to chuck your controller across the room and sit there barking out commands at on screen soldiers and watching them carry out their destruction.

Add in voice chat, and you have a laugh riot IMO.

Well all gamers tend to play in the evening, and I work 3-11 (usually finish at 8 or 10 depending on if I'm on lates).

So rather than doing the 9-5 day schedule, of getting up at 7, and being in bed for like Midnight. I move my schedule forward a few hours. So I get up at 12-2pm (depending on if I need to go to the shops or whatever), work 3-8 or 10. Game in the evening, get my tea etc etc then up til about 6, sometimes as late as 8am.

So I live a normal day schedule like everyone else, just pushed back like 5 hours.

You can play as Matt, Jeff, HHH and Shawn Michaels.

You can play a singles match, or a tag team match. The tag team finishers and hot tags are pretty cool.

You can also do special recoveries now, if you press the correct button at the right time, when you get nailed to the canvas, you spring right back up with a full momentum meter. (Annoying when you've been owning a guy) Michaels did it twice in one match.

I wont quote to save room but it does indeed sound good, shame the xbox is behind the times........strange from my past experience of games like this and demos.

I've heard about the changes and watched IGN's countdown a fair few times and it looks solid, hopefully though these implemented changes will be major because it seems the 60 man roster (huge jump as you probably know from last year) is where a lot of the improving has gone, GM mode really did piss me off last year and didn't have much replayability, the voice acting was good and I liked it but I'd like to see AI characters or my own turn heel or face etc like what they would in real life. Not to mention other things like "choosing your own way".

Just watched backstage fights, first time back in years, kinda shocked at this inclusion tbh.
