Here is some facts and stories I found recently:
A dog is recovering after chasing a feather over a 48 metre clifftop. Border collie Cameron jumped into the sea off Shetland. He was rescued by coastgaurds after scrambling on to a rock ledge. Robin Barclay was walking his 15 month-old dog when the accident happened. Cameron was rescued by coastguards after two and a half hours. Barclay said "Cameron saw a feather floating and he was after it."
If a cat falls from the 7th floor of a building, it has a 30% less chance of surviving than if it fell from the 20th floor. It takes about eight floors for the cat to realise what's happening, relax and corrct itself. (Who finds this stuff out?)
A short-sighted British greyhound is a winner after being fitted with contact lenses. The dog used to lose because it would stay behind the leader to avoid getting lost. She is now racking up the wins.
Feel free to add your own, I'll add some more when I get more time.
