I went shopping this afternoon but decided to get more munchy food to save money instead of getting take away after a night out, or when I've got the munchies. Anyway I brought one of them must be twelve foot long boxes of Jaffa Cakes and I've finished it already. I think my body is reacting to withdrawal symptoms, I hadn't had a jaffa cake for a long time, perhaps a year and I think I'm now entering some physical dependency on them. If it carries on I might have to book meself in at the Priory. I want to go out and get another packet but I don't want to ruin my non jaffa cake influenced figure :D

What should I do?

Do any other biscuits have the same effects on you?

Get a job making them, that will cure your addiction.

I used to work in Burtons Biscuits in Broxburn where they make mini Jaffas and that put me off jaffa cakes for years. Just walk into the factory and you detect a dodgy smell you can't quite place. After a while you realise the smell is chocolate and you can't work out how something so nice can smell bad in huge quantities. Then you soon discover the orange jam they use in jaffas is actually the stickiest substance on earth which gets fecking everywhere.

I almost blew the engine in my old dears car when I got the accelerator pedal stuck to the floor and popped the clutch to change gear thanks to having jaffa jam all over my feet.

Kakao Schnitten is my suggestion but as you are in England, it doesn't help much

Rememebr gettin a tour of the shithole in Manchester once, and in the changing rooms that day was a huge crate with boxes upon boxes of Jaffa Cakes ready to be shipped up to Anfield for the game that was taking place that evening...

Did you mean "twelve inch long boxes" or are you truly the fattest of all fat barstewards on earth?

Aye, good point Smiffy - the stores wouldn't take too kindly to even Jaffa Cakes using all that shelf space surely???

One step better than literally spilling coffee all over the keyboard I suppose...

No it's the new boxes that have just been released recently. They are huge. Way bigger than twelve inches. Must be about at least twice the size of a 12 inch ruler. I have disposed of the packet in a bin outside to try and avoid getting any more ;)

I must say, so far its actually working. I had my usual tuna & pasta for lunch.......

You should've seen it. They were everywhere. I don't normally get biscuits but it was unavoidable, advertising as I went in the shop, in the aisles, I could've sworn I even saw a cashier dressed up in a big jaffa cake. It was crazy.

So 2 foot rather than 12 foot? A single digit typo is acceptable ;)

I genuinely believed I am the only person in the whole entire world not to like jaffa cakes. and every time I tell people I dont like them the look of disgust is so strong that I always think I must be wrong and I'll have to try another one. I'ev tried eating them whole, peeling them apart and eating the jelly last etc etc, but i just don't like them. It's not fair :(

Fair comment ;)

I had a minor relapse today. I just ate through the entire supermarket supply......

:D

Honestly, I had another three with a cup of coffee at work today. They seem to have phased out the usual chocolate digestives (which are also good, but not quite as good).
