things aint looking good at all.
iv called a few mates, and it seemes he hasnt got in touch with anyone, including his mum.

This tsunami seems so surreal. Watching the news yesterday of all the pictures of people looking for loved ones and people searching through the photo's of the passed away to see if they recognise anyone.
Bangs home what christmas is really about.
I hope he contacts you. Fingers crossed there's still hope.

Hope he's just had his telephone line wrecked by the disaster and just hasn't been in contact with people.

Hopefully he will be fine ***! Probably all the infrastructure as Jock has suggested has been ruined hence the reason you havent heard from him.
This whole situation does hit home the fact that we live in a world that is very fragile. Our shops has been collecting for the various charities that are helping out and it is showing me how generous people can be - in just under two days we have nearly collected £60 off people!

yeah its looking like 10's of millions of pounds worldwide will be collected.
i only hope the proper people get it quick enough to save more lifes.
cheers for the messages.

The video's of this thing are unbelievable. It just looks like a normal big wave but instead of stopping where you think it would it just powers in coast..
Tp put it in perspective, 9/11 killed 3000, this tsunami will kill upwards of 200,000 people. With all the disease it could reach half a million.
My friend in Thailand was evacuated out of the area onto a mountain hotel. So, perhaps there's hope that your friend was also evacuated.

Watch this.. Just ignore the advertisement beforehand.
It really is one of the scariest things I've ever seen!
this video just shows how little people knew about what was going to happen (http://nbc4la.feedroom.com/iframeset.jsp?ord=524666)
EDIT:
Link should now be working. If it isn't, then click on the Tsunami Kids pic, bottom left.
The report states that all the people in the video turned up safe and well! Thankgod.

Mate of mine's brother's mate was very lucky. Was diving in Thailand at the time, luckily they had a tank of Oxygen and the like.
