As the title says, New Years Celebrations have been cancelled in Cyprus. All organised meetings and celebrations have been cancelled in all the town Centres across the Island and instead it will be replaced with lit candles at midnight to commemorate the victims of the Tsunami.
If I was well enough to go out, I would be lighting candles along with alot of othere in the town centre. Instead, I will light one up at home at midnight.

The Mirror newspaper/rag slagged off the British nation today for going out and enjoying ourselves in pubs and clubs across the country.
Were we wrong???
Although i didnt go out as such, just round freinds with a bottle of wine and a few beers.

So hundreds of thousands of people die and people are not allowed to enjoy life last night?
Thats the ****in religious twats who reckon its gods punishment etc etc, but at a concert the other night someone said somethin that rings true the most, not we should go into mourning, or spend life preparing for an afterlife etc, shit.. But we should see this as a sign that we shoudl enjoy and have fun for every hour we breathe cos any breath could be the last...

Sack cloth and ashes on New Years Eve wasn't going to bring any of these poor sods back, I've made my contribution to the Charities concerned, there's not a lot else I can do realistically?
