Woman wants dog as her bridesmaid
A bride-to-be is having her dog Lucy as her bridesmaid.
Sonia Wilde said her vicar, the Rev Brian Statham, was shocked when she first asked him but finally agreed to the idea reports the Daily Express.
She said: "You should have seen his face. He said he'd never had a request like it in 26 years."
Sonia is designing Lucy's dress for when she ties the knot with Steve Begley at St Matthew's Church in Edgedley, Stockport, in October.
Sonia added: "I can't think of anybody else I would rather have as bridesmaid. Lucy's my best friend and you want the people you love by your side on the big day."
