Is anyone here going to admit doing something silly with a traffic cone?

Many years back on a lads night out we were starting the walk home from town and a mate picked up a cone that was sitting over a cracked paving stone. He started speaking loudly into it and then wore it on his hear for a bit as he walked up the street.

But he was spotted by the police and made to walk back to where he found it and put it back. :dunce:

back in 1992, i was over in northern ireland, stopping with a friend who had a clapped out old car(honda civic, i think) anyway, we were driving along a fairly quiet road at around 10.30p.m & it was just about dark, when we spotted a line of traffic cones in the road stopping people using the pavement. mark decided that it would be quite funny to run over them & knock them all down, so there we were driving along at around 10mph merrily knocking the cones over, we`d been doing this for around 300 meters, when the road started to turn to the left & we came face to face with a slow moving council lorry with a guy walking behind it, putting out cones. i don`t think that he was best pleased:laugh:

Hate that!

Most cones are quite heavy as they are weighed down with sand or lead.

Me and a few mates blocked a main road with cones one night at about three in the morning and sat backed and laughed at all the taxi drivers stopping to move them!

The things you'll do for a laugh when your drunk...

Only the usual pissed up with a cone on your head trick, or using it as a megaphone.

Not myself, although I did get up one morning to be met at the bottom of the stairs by a traffic cone and a humongous traffic diversion sign!
I obviously missed out the night before!

Used one as a holder once to set off fireworks, only the firework was wedged in to tight the traffic cone took off too :D

Don't mess with fireworks kids :(

Just the old megaphone trick i am afraid. Although I did do it in the uni canteen and startle everyone while they were having their lunch.

When I was about 14 or 15 me and a couple of mates nicked a road closed sign and a load of cones from the local builing site. When back at one of our houses with them we didn't have a clue what do with them or where to hide them, so being the little scallywags that we were we decided the place for them would be in the middle of the High Street (which is one way) meaning everyone had to turn around.

After about three of four cars had fallen for it somebody got wise to our little joke and removed it all from the road.

yeah we used to do that quite often.

Don't really go for cones so much any more. the other week we woke up and there was a big potted plant and a "Santa Stop Here" sign in the lounge - only vague memories of that night.
