We had quite a nasty one in Brum the other week. I work for BCC in the Highways department, so we were all doing extra work, including reading up about tornadoes, what causes them, how likely they are to strike, if this one was an isolated incident or the risk has gone up, how to minimise damage in future etc.
I just loved one of the articles I read from the BBC News website archive.
