View Full Version : Hangovers (and crazy nights)

No, I'm not talking about your gut.
The morning (or afternoon i should really say) after a hardcore night... whats the worst you've had? symptoms? memory loss? ended up in an odd place?
I never lose my memory (well hardly ever - i can usually be reminded of something if that does happen)... I went a bit crazy on sunday night, drank loads of wine. I was influenced by a couple of mates.. i started going a bit silly when we were in a bar with a band doing acustic numbers... and we were shouting out silly comments and requests. Luckily the band took it in good humour and were pretty witty with their replies. Then we were down to 2, and went to meet my ex and a couple of her mates. I suggested casual sex to her - not quite sure how that was taken, but we all went back to hers for more wine. Helping some old pissed guy to a taxi on the way.
I ended up leaving without telling anyone - went to the bog, then just decided to leave. Nice of me  stumbled to a taxi rank - had to persuade the driver i wasn't going to throw up. I'd already done that on the way.
Anyway, then i woke up face down in drool, on my bed, at about 1pm. Good lord what a hangover. I couldn't move without feeling sick... and what a headache. I'm sure my hangover still hasnt gone properly now!!
So any interesting stories to tell?

Got so drunk in Mexico City on Tequilla that some US Marine was hitting on me like crazy and I didn't even realise. It wasn't until he invited me to a gay bar that I worked out what was going on. Fortunately all I woke up with was a very sore head and lots of vomitting. Had to fly home that morning as well
Only had memory loss once. In Derby town centre, fell down the steps of the Blue Note, don't remember anything else until waking up near home a mile away on the pavement with blood over my face from falling face first onto concrete. Lots of vomitting and a day off work followed, as well as a three day hangover
That was when I was young and immature though :D

Kidney infections after way to much drinking on top of a pounding head is the worse type of lasting hangover you can ever have. :(
The pains in the side of your back feels like someone is repeately stabbing you, nasty. Never ever going to do a 12 hour drinking session before i had to be somewhere important the next day again.
I hate it when you can't remember anything and you fall over that many times people look at you in disgust. I really don't drink that much anymore.

Have had memory loss every saturday night recently  Probably something to do with playing football in the afternoon and not eating until sunday whilst out on the beer.
Vaguely remember going into club this week, nothing about being in there apart from going to the bar the first time. Ahh well the trusty life support machine is wheeled out by my bed every sunday morning

i stood leaning in a doorway for two hours groaning once. only interspersed with vomiting. i couldn't even move, cos i knew i'd just pass out. vodka is nasty.

Sometimes i get slight memory loss, but over the last few years my hangovers have disappeared. I can go out on a massive sessiom and wake up feeling fit and ready to go the next morning without a headache or anything.

I would say the worst was a mates stag weekend. Went on a booze cruise to France and was on it from around half six on the Friday night until about half one on the Sunday morning. No idea where we went the Saturday night except it was somewhere in Gosport. Never have I felt as bad as I did that Sunday morning and I doubt very much I'll feel that bad ever again.

Drank a 750ml bottle of Vodka in far too short a time once.
Was fine until I left the club we were in, mate told me I was too pissed to stay in his house so I decided I would sleep on the log. Police came and examined me and I eventually had to get a lift home from a mate's mum who got dragged from bed at 3am because taxi's wouldn't take me.
Don't drink anything like I did though. First six months of this year was a drunken mess. Possibly had only one hangover in two-three months. Which was on Sunday.
Went out for a meal Saturday night, two bottles of red wine and a few Scotch's. Paced out over 7 hours though. Had a pissed conversation with Colin Murray who must think i'm stalking him seeing as I've seen him about 5 times in the last month.
Woke up on Sunday feeling like shite, had two yoghurts for breakfast which didn't last long, then went the game and drank, which contrary to popular opinion doesn't make a difference.
There was also the pissed time in Tenerife I put two girl mates in headlocks, this was a few months after telling one of the two I thought she was a "Horrible little bitch, who I'd like to put in a coffin and bounce down a hill."

Everytime I do something horrible and lose control pissed it is at family functions, for some reason, probably known only unto god himself, I only need to sniff a barmaids apron to be shitfaced in the presence of relations, this has lead to problems and much riddicule in the past. :(

Got so drunk once on Vanilla shots, and puked till the blood vessels burst in my eyes and cheeks, the same night my friend (Prev) drank mandarin shots and vomited exorcist style over my room, cue throwing away of much bedding/matress.
Also, the night before my Maths GCSE resit, got horrendously pissed on my mum's friend wine, was sick all round her living room, got away with it cos the dog ate it all in the night!! Then during my exam was sick into my mouth and had to swallow it!
I got a B
There were 2 major hangovers after those nights

On my birthday a couple of years ago, drank a pint of spirits, then numerous shots of gin. Can't remember much after 8pm, but apparantly I was still out at 11pm. Tried beating up the landlord of the local and when I woke up in the morning on my settee there was glass all over. I thought I'd been burgled, but apparantly I smashed my own window in the front room to be sick out of. It would have been cheaper to be sick on the floor.

When I started my new job at Lloyds when I was 17, was taken to the pub on my first week, to watch England v Portugal in Euro 2000. Me and my mate started on the quid bottles of Becks, and by 11 were drinking pints of Blackthorn. Got the bus home and my mate sparked a cigarette up on there. I felt sick so I pushed the button and got off, then spewed all over the pavement.
Realised I was 5 miles from home, and never had my wallet on me (had left my mobile phone at home that day too!) So started walking back towards town centre, but a mile into it realised I would have to walk another mile back there and then 7 miles home. So started walking home again, after a few miles started to hitchhike. Got picked up by a really, really strange bloke who went in a completely different direction to my house, so started psyching myself up in prep for a robbing/rape/murder all of the above, until he pulled into the petrol station and I breathed a sigh of relief. All of this whilst wildly drunk, and on verge of spewing again.
When he drove up my street I got out and walked up someone elses driveway so he didn't know where I lived. Then was late for work the next day, on the first week of my new job.
Cheated on my G/F whilst drunk two years ago too.
Safe to say, sometimes me and drink don't mix!!!
