    Football chairman game?

    Has there ever been one?

Could be an intresting style of game. This is someones ideas from another forum.

"You have just won 10 Million on the lottery

You are wondering what you can do with all your spare time. You have a love of football but don't support any team. You decide to form your own club, You buy some land and you build a 5,000 capacity stadium with 400 seats all for 1.5M

start from the Amatuer League, you hire a manager, physio & groundsman.

You then set a budget for the manager(which would be very minimal at the start)

You try and get people to go to your matches.

You negotiate with Sponsors and advertisers(eg Advetising boards, Shirt sponsors, Team sponsors etc)

Every season you assess how the team has gone and how your manager is doing. You will also know the feelings of your supporters.

In years to come you will have other options open to you eg Floating your club on the stock exchange etc

Possibilitys of bringing in new, young and exciting players who can make it big within the football world."

If made right i think there could be a market for this kind of game.

I remember Ultimate Soccer Manager 98, or something like that. That was good, as you could go about negotiating the sponsorship deals (right down to the perimeter advertising I think) and build up your stadium as well.

Did anyone see that website were they tried to get 100,000 people to be a member and pay a tenner. then they voted on buying a football club. Every year they pay 10 and that was another million revneue for the club. every one owned a piece of a team.

does anyone still know of it?

Awesome idea for a game suggest it to one of the big game makers. I for one would certainly be top of the list for wanting it.

I'd buy it too, it would be ace, hiring and firing staff etc.

All the financial stuff, i.e. sponsers sounds really interesting too!

It's a good game, but it's quite difficult for younger players. I quite liked it.

Good idea. It'd be like Rollercoaster Tycoon but with a football club. Might get a bit boring after a while though.
