Belle Vue memories

Ok, the ground is defunct now, the grass is over growing and its an eye sore for the whole of Doncaster, but here's a tribute to the old place, during the last 12 months.

I was there for the last match, but with the red army from the midlands.

after reading that little review i had to agree, it was a shithole, but it was YOURS. I can understand why you loved the place, lots of character about it.

we're moving from our spiritual home aswell soon, I will no doubt feel just like you did on the 23rd december when that time comes.

all the best Donny

No Belle Vue didn't have character for me at all. A couple of things that were good but not many in reality for me.

Only went there once. We lost. Two of our fans tried to get a suntan laying on the grass verge next to the away end and were shepherded back into the terrace eventually

The grass terrace was removed when we went back into the league and terracing put back on it.

My memories of Belle Vue are of a 1-0 victory in thick fog.

When we got back on the coach Radio Five gave the score out as 1-0 to Donny.

Bell vue i will always remember it by one of the best days i witness supporting Yeovil. 100 odd Years and we finally won the conference. One of my favorite grounds it may be have been a shit hole but its got good history for Yeovil fans.

Sorry to dig this back up, i visited the site in January as i lived up there at the time, i took some pictures. I moved back to Dagenham in mid-May and the site hadnt changed by the time i got back - what the state of it currently is i am unsure about.

If anyone would be interested in the pictures i can send/post them here?
