I didn't realise this was on. Hope they do better than the U17s who just threw away the Euros at the death and lost on penalties!

    Tough group?

Who has been picked - in the past we have had to take second choice players..

It's great to see Callum Connolly in there! Impressed when on loan this season, he's one of the few who've actually played senior football this season.

It is a tough group. We've sent Lewis Cook who has played the last few games for us.

Surprised to see lesser teams such as Vietnam and Vanuatu qualify. Makes a change to the usual.

Excellent defensive performance from the lads and clinical finishing. Feels great to beat Argentina at any level!

    Drew 1-1!

Looking at some of the results I am guessing most of the high profile nations have not got their best Under 20s playing?

Definitely, any u20 close to their clubs first team would be mad to go.

The scorer today Lewis Cook played the last few games for us in the PL and should be a regular next season.

Why would it be mad to go to an under 20 World Cup?

Great performance by the youngsters although they should have scored more. Group winners!

We got past Costa Rica 2-1, although sounds like it was more comfortable than that for most of the game. Mexico beat Senegal as expected, which sets up a quarter final with them on Monday.

In our side of the draw, Germany perhaps surprisingly lost out to Zambia, and Italy beat France. The winner of our game will therefore play the winner of Italy vs Zambia in the semis.

This is a good squad, which has been loaded with high hopes for a few years, mainly since winning the U17 Euros 3 years ago, so it would be good to see them go far in the tournament.

Hopefully Eurosport shows the game on Monday, but if not, I think it's available on a free stream somewhere.

    Anyone watching this game?

Lewis Cook looks bright as expected, Tomori and our lad Fry seems pretty good at the back as well. I hope Chapman gets a chance towards the end of the game as he's a real talent.

Hasn't had a lot of the ball so far, just misplaced a pass as I'm typing. Commentators are discussing his move to you at the moment.
