Shit today but then again we played with 0 fit central defenders, a 3rd choice keeper and next to no physicality in midfield.

    Bournemouth away next. ez.

Long, long way to go. You don’t have to win many games to stay up, we already have 2. The injuries are definitely causing us some problems now but we should have most of them back by January. The way we play will get us more wins, and we improved a lot last season after the start. It was always going to be tough this season when you compare the amount of money rivals have spent, but we aren’t doomed just yet

How long are these injuries out for Norwich? They could be the killer, anyone would struggle with that many injuries.

The defenders long term I think .

To have 2 goalies injured is unlucky ..

Shame we are so poor and Norwich hit by injuries otherwise they might be on trouble - till January at least.

Can see Silva being binned this week. Good time to do it with the international break.

    Welcome back BFS.

Well Kabasele has said we're too good in attack to go down - must be why we haven't scored for 3 games or only scored twice in one game once this season.

I mean the potential is there but the front line keeps changing each week and well no good scoring goals if you cannot defend!

In goal, I don't think Krul and Fahrmann are long term, I'd expect both to only miss a few more games, maybe just one.

In defence, Klose is out for the season, arguably our best option going into the season, with his experience. Zimmerman probably 3rd choice, is out until January. Hanley 4th choice, has a niggling groin injury, no return date given but don't think its long term. Godfrey needs a hernia operation but shouldn't miss anymore than 1 game.

In midfield, Trybull and Vrancic should be back this month, both have potential to be first choice. Tettey isn't first choice but is out, think he should be back this month as well. Hernandez should be back maybe at the end of November, another that could well be first choice.

I think that's more or less it. The amount of injuries to CBs and DMs is the key really. We've lost 2 of our 3 best CBs and have had to play our main DM signing in Amadou there, and with Trybull and Vrancic missing for over a month now, our current midfield partnership of Leitner & McLean just simply don't work well together at this level, but we really don't have any choice right now, even having Tettey fit would be a huge bonus. I'd say going into November we should only really be missing Zimmerman and Klose so we aren't far away from the crisis ending!

I would say all of the current bottom 8, with the exception of Everton could all go down. I'd probably go as far as saying those 7 teams will occupy 14th to 20th come May.

What odds can you get on Man U being relegated? Surely lower than when Leicester won the league and that happened. Might put a daft tenner on it.

Massive result for us this weekend and probably the confidence boost we needed after a few weeks of diabolical luck. The break also comes at a nice time for us, we should hopefully see March fully fit as well as Bernado and Trossard back in contention.

Connolly hitting the ground running is obviously massive for us too. First time in the Prem we’ve actually had options up front which is nice.

Our 4 games after the international break can go one of two ways though so we could do with our good luck holding out a while longer.

    Villa (A)
    Everton (H)
    Norwich (H)
    Man.U (A)

We could either be looking at 4 really winnable games there or two new manager bounces & a Norwich side boosted by players returning from injury. If we can get 7+ points from those 4 then we’re in a pretty solid position.

Because spunking big fees on players and changing manager has served them so well in recent years.
