    Good news. I was expecting him to score given law of the sod with ex players.

    I'd play this;

    Henderson
    AWB Bailly Maguire Telles
    Matic Fred
    Diallo Bruno James
    Cavani
    Who knows if Rashford will be fit and I'd like Pogba back for this but I assume he's still not fit.

    No point going half arsed like that, either go for the win or play a team of 2nd stringers. I'd love to see Amad given a go but it's not going to happen, in the same way I'd like to see Maguire and Fernandes rested but that's not going to happen either.

    Well. This fixture often used to be a battle of giants not many years ago. To see us facing Milan in Europe's 2nd string competition is quite wired.

    Speaking of the game itself, I believe we are more than good enough to best them in all areas of the pitch, IF WE TURN UP. The defending against Man City was so unbelievably good you could easily get carried away with ultra optimism but getting a look at Milan's performances recently rises a bit of caution since they seem to have recovered from the slump they had a few weeks ago, and they've been scoring lots of goals in Serie A this season (50 in 26) which is not necessarily the best of news for our inconsistent back line but the good news for us is their defending has been as problematic as ours this season which is the main factor behind them falling shorter and shorter in this serie A season's title race. So all and all a lot of similarities between us and our tonight's opponents. Two sleeping giants struggling to bring back their former glories, both are 2nd in their league tables to their city rivals and both been scoring and conceding lots of goals this season. Personally think our best chance of silverware this season is Europa league and we should be aiming to win it not to secure a place for the next season's CL but to get something to show up for all the progress we've been making in the last couple of years. Ole needs to be desperate for a trophy this season.

    milan will be without a fair few of their regulars, i believe. no ibra, no rebic, no calhanoglu, no bennacer, and no mandzukic. probably a late fitness test for a few of those names, but it's a boost for us

    They're decimated by injuries. Theo also injured, so Dalot will prob play if he's eligible - don't know the rules on facing parent clubs, but I think he can play..? Romagnoli is injured but not badly, so might play even though it isn't ideal, and a similar situation for Tonali.

    Dalot scored a very good goal at the weekend - striker would've been proud of it. He doesn't seem a fullback to me though, not one to be relied upon anyway.

    I have thought for a number of years that there are a lot of parallels between United and Milan, and there has been a lot of mismanagement at both clubs. Even now, I think both probably appear better than they are in their league performance, but both are on the right track in terms of getting back to where they should be.

    Supposedly at the weekend, if he's actually injured at all that is.

    Maguire, Matic and McTominay all right by the player and not one of them appeal for handball.

    Tells you all you need to know.

    McTominay 5/1 to have a shot on target in the first half. Worth a punt.

    I think if you asked the same question to 10 premier league refs you would end up with multiple answers.
