I saw it completely differently and that's the problem with VAR for rules that are down to interpretation. The ref asked to slow the replays right down which in handball instances is wrong. Most handballs can look intentional in slow motion and both decisions could be argued either way.

VAR should only be for clear mistakes, and they weren't for me. If it's taking 2/3 minutes to make the decision it's not an obvious error.

I hope the refs decisions were because he was going by the new rules because then it is pretty fair in my opinion. The first was a penalty because it was going towards the goal and a high likely hood the back of the net the second not because if it didn't hit his hand the attacking team still had a lot to do to score and more than likely the ball is cleared anyway

I don't think it states anything in the new rule about it being goalbound? I thought it was only if they score from it.

It just makes me question VAR's inclusion in the decision more than anything. It should only be for factual decisions and clear errors which this wasn't.

    Tunisia vs Nigeria

    Match date: 17.07.2019 at 20:00

On July 17 2019 at 20:00 at the Al Salam Stadium in Cairo in the upcoming regular match of the Africa Cup of Nations Tunisia national football team will play against Nigeria national football team. This will be the match between the teams which both lost their semifinal matches and now they will only play for the third place.

At the group stage Tunisia drew Angola, Mali and Mauritania and yet in the end they managed to make it to the play-offs from the second position. Despite the fact that their results were pretty unconvincing, they still managed to overcome two stages of the play-offs. First they outplayed Ghana in the penalty shooting while after that they won against Madagascar 3:0. Yet, in the semifinal they lost to Senegal 0:1.

Nigeria also finished the group on the second place as they gained six points due to the victories against Burundi and Guinea and the loss to Madagascar. As some top bookmakers told - there were also some of the successful results in the play-offs they outplayed Cameroon and South Africa. Yet, in the semifinal of the competition they lost to Algeria.

The AFCAN appeared to be really pragmatic and that is why the bookmakers think that there won’t be a lot of goals scored this time. Yet, we think that this time Tunisia won’t care too much about saving their goals and that is why we think that there will be goal scored this time.

Prediction: Over 2.5 goals for 2.51

Let's hope it's a full stadium for the final. Shocking attendances so far. A lot worse than the copa America and that was bad

The scorer of this game is actually very underrated.

He was the first scorer in league football this year, scoring 3 more than Messi, with way less games!

EDIT: He scored 6 hatricks and 39 goals in only 22 games. He scored 7 in one game too!
