The majority of Spurs fans on here and who I know in person accept they were both dives. Not sure why you're struggling so much with it.

The second part of your post was a bit embarrassing mate. The idea that a home draw a few seasons back means Liverpool fans can't be objective as to whether a Spurs player throws a dive or not is just nonsense.

No struggle. Both were fouls. You cannot rugby tackle someone to the ground and you cannot push someone over.

You can be as embarrassed for me as much as you like "mate". Simple fact is, since that day, Liverpool fans have howled over Spurs diving and winning penalties since then.

Of course they were dives. But I shall say to you what I said to Liverpool fans last season.

Dive does not automatically mean no foul and foul does not automatically mean no dive.

I'll argue this point forever and a day. You push someone over, it's a foul. You'll see it in every game for the rest of time, it'll happen in Arsenal's next game and in Spurs next game.

Dive = no contact. There was contact in both.

2-2 a fair result in the end but unsure which side should be more disappointed with the result.

Arsenal shouldn't be having to come back from 2 down at home if they want to be where they need to be and Spurs should not be dropping the lead the way they did. Both teams are weak.

    Oh, and Pepe was naff.

****, he put quotation marks round 'mate'.

It's going to be fascinating to see if Pags can bounce back from this.

The Alli one being talked about isn't the penalty incident. He knocked it past one of their defenders and went down easily, not sure if he appealed for a free kick or not though to be fair.

Argue all you want, what I’m saying is fact. Kane wasn’t ‘pushed over’. He felt hands on his back and threw himself on the floor. Is it a foul? Yes. Is it a dive? Absolutely. They aren’t mutually exclusive. You can be fouled and still dive.

    Both were dives.

What the hell has the club I support got to do with anything? Jesus

I wonder if Kane, Vardy, Rashford and Wilson get together on international breaks and practice their diving. They've all tried very similar ones over the past couple of seasons, some more than once.

Fully expecting Harold to buy a penalty against us at the new WHL in two weeks time.

I had the same argument in the Villa-Palace thread.

The problem with the Kane penalty incident is that if it's a defender shielding the ball in the same situation, he gets a foul.

I never understand how players like Zaha get more stick for diving when players like Kane and more so Alli are worse for it and always at it.

I suppose Zaha isn’t the media sweetheart like Kane.

You can say that again. Some of the treatment he got last season was despicable.

I don't have Sky so I didn't watch the match, I only saw what was on MOTD. If there was another incident involving Ali, they didn't show it. If anyone has a link I'd be interested to see it. I'm referring to the possible penalty shout though whether it was in side or outside the box is debatable.

You're nowhere near fact, that is absolute nonsense. It's either or a foul or it isn't. If its a foul it's a penalty, if it's not then it's a dive and he should be booked.

If it was up the other end, Spurs would have justifiably given away a penalty.

Could he stay on his feet had he wanted to? Yes. Did he? No. Ergo, a dive. Don't cry like a little slapped bitch about it. Every forward does it, Salah, Kane, Zaha etc. etc.

I don't think anyone is really debating the penalty / rugby tackle on Alli.

I tried looking for the other instance this morning but couldn't find a replay of it, only briefly looked on Twitter though.
