Just had really good experiences with the club and think it would be great for them to play Villa. Nothing against Barnsley, who were also clearly deserved winners.

    Barnsley 3-0 Walsall

"No side has ever overturned a three-goal first-leg deficit to make a final in the history of the play-offs."

    ... Challenge accepted!

No honestly now though, fantastic performance by us today! Proud to be a red after that one, every single player put a shift in. The ref was dubious to say the absolute least though! (Says a lot when we've won 3-0 and I still have things to say about the ref, he must have been bad!) But we march on to Walsall with a massive advantage going into it.

Stop being so bitter.......Just be grateful that we have let you have our cast off players over the years.......for the record Wigan could have had all three keepers in and lost.:fingerWell done to the lads...Wallsall fans showing great dignity here....and of course the tie is not over till after the away leg....amazing platform for us though.

Our last three trips to Yorkshire have an aggregate score of 9-0.

Barnsley were just stronger, faster and better I'm afraid. Yes two of the goals were deflected, but the defending was piss poor and they had one ruled out that should of stood. That said, we had our own chances and had we taken them things might have worked out differently, but we didn't.

We have some fantastic football players here, but they are lacking on the mental side of things. This isn't the first time we've wilted under pressure on the big occasion. We remind me of Arsenal to be honest.

I hope Barnsley go up, another member of the Championship Yorkshire League. We haven't played each other competitively for donkeys years

I don't think we have sold any of the last 2 blocks of the community stand yet and I doubt if there will be much demand from our fans.
Maybe you'll get some more tickets (Unless West Mids Police object...)

    Ouch!

Walsall will have to break all records to overturn this and I doubt that's happening. Still, on the bright side, there always the Villa to play against the season after as they pass you on the way down to League 2.

Have you actually seen the goals from that game, he was at fault for 3 of the 4 and even in the build up to your penalty, but you are right in other respects, it wasn't hard to beat a team that had been on the piss for two days following winning the title at Blackpool the previous Saturday, a pissup at the player of the season awards on the Wednesday and being given the week off so we only trained Friday and Saturday. A pub team would have beaten us that day, we were in party mood and you took full advantage and as I posted before that was not fair on Scunthorpe.

I couldn't believe this result yesterday! Looking very good for the Yorkshire and Humber teams, almost certainly travelling to Wembley.

A pub team wouldn't have played like you did in the first 20, we played well and had to to beat you, your bitter and blindness is remarkable

I've got one and I'll still be going, even if the thought of travelling down from Manchester where I live these days isn't an appealing one.

Imagine not going and we did somehow pull off a miracle, would never forgive myself!

Fully deserved win for Barnsley, no complaints from me because we've been beaten by the better team.
As for ourselves that was a terrible performance and we need to improve big time on Thursday to get a result. If we score a early goal or 2 on Thursday then maybe we've got a chance however at the moment I have to admit that Barnsley have one foot in the final.
