last few times I've ended up drinking either in the Tory club (yeah i felt dirty) or the two brewers

Why the hell did you do that when you had Crate and all the micro breweries across the other side of the canal you idiot

Not much we can do about being lied to about the amount of development that was going to happen in the area directly around the ground when we built it. It's only just actually happening now nearly 30 years later.

Less of that, just because we didn't let you bring your veg in.

What's wrong with a parmo? Other than the fact it basically gives you a heart attack the minute you finish it

I like them, just though a sophisticated European like yourself would turn their nose up at it like a lot do.

Nah even sophisticated europeans like their dirty food sometimes, when i was in Sicily one of their local delicacies (in the home of fresh food) was a deep fried pizza

    "La Siciliana", fried pizza.

Sicily has some of the nicest, "dirtiest" food I've ever had. They do the same deep fried calzones in Naples. Disgustingly good.

Yeah the Two Brewers is quite popular with home fans. I've never actually been as we come from the opposite direction.

Because we were herded back to Stratford International and it was about the only place serving alcohol. Don't worry, I don't intend on going back to either. Worst away day in the league by a country mile.

Bloody hell, when was the last time you were at the Riverside? Away fans haven't sat there for at least 5 years.

I went a few years ago when we drew 1-1, Deeney equaliser. And yeah we were in the side bit

Why? There are so many great bars along the River Lea, starting at Here East down to Crate Brewery. Stay away from Stratford!!

Hey that place made the man I am today! (Yes a rambling alcoholic..) although I blame the Newcastle Brown for £1 a bottle. It actually went up to £1.15 a bottle so we all stopped drinking it - then they dropped it back to £1. 90-94 was a bit of a blur tbh.

Newcastle has been the best awayday in the PL so far - City has been decent too (Northern quarter very good).
Fulham 2 weeks ago was good, but £18.60 for 2 Peroni and 2 cokes! Fecking joke. Looking forward to Cardiff in Feb

Not enjoyed the Olympic stadium experience so far, in the winter it's miserable. Agree about Gillingham, what a hole. Chesterfield gets a mention as it's the only place I've been attacked watching Bmth in 25 odd years. It was only 1-1 too...too much anger! Cardiff in 2001 was very hairy too, very male dominated and intimidating.

Cardiff 2018 is very different from Cardiff 2001. For better and worse in different respects.

It's a huge area with room for hundreds of people which creates a great space for songs and an atmosphere to build. As a Southampton fan you wouldn't understand. It's also dirt cheap which is a bonus.

The irony of that coming from a Spurs fan

Anyway i find those places hell on earth, when i make noise i'll do it the ground, not in a cavernous room full of people who can barely have a normal social interaction and think wearing a £50+ piece of polyester over the top of a hoody is a socially acceptable way to act

    Oh god no.

No very true, nice to hear it’s happening though. I like the people, just found the place depressing to look at.

We went by mini bus last year... you park at the ground and walk to the Harvester by the roundabout..... One good thing about after the game Police escort out of the area straight onto the Motorway. Probably one of the quickest times I've ever got away.
